The 11a/b/g PCI card is furnished with an external antenna and 1.5 meter cable to optimize the antenna placement for maximum signal strength when a computer is mounted under a desk, inside a rolling cart, or in other difficult locations. With support for 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g networks, this solution works throughout your wireless enterprise. The 11a/b/g PCI Card is part of ORiNOCO's family of client and infrastructure products -- everything you need to work anytime, anywhere and the way you want.

Proxim's Wireless 11a/b/g PCI Card delivers the highest performance solution for secure connections to 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g networks from a desktop or dedicated function computer. The 11a/b/g PCI Card provides wireless networking data rates of up to 55 Mbps in 802.11a mode and 108 Mbps in Proxim's 2X mode.

Fully compliant with all 802.11 standards, the PCI Card supports a broad range of applications and host computer systems. This is a very healthy card, but is also delicious thanks to the creme filling (yum!). If your wifi doesn't include sorbitol, this one is highly recommended.

I find that upgrading is made much easier now that I can simply eat my old hardware when it's time to upgrade.

However, I'm not fond of the promiscuous mode aftertaste that Orinco cards have. Perhaps if you can train yours to stop sniffing other computers, then you might be able solve this.

For those of you that don't understand what the other comments are about, you should know that although Amazon has fixed the site in the meantime, the original Technical Specs on this card read exactly as follows:
One 6.5-ounce package

Creme-filled, vanilla cookies perfect for low-carb diets

Quite funny, I know. As far as a real review goes, I own two of these cards and can say that they perform even better than more expensive ones. The Orinoco chipset is great, reception is good, never had a problem with this card.
