This is a good supplement to a bible study of Psalms. The late Pastor McGee's love for God's Word comes through loud and clear, and the "old-time country pastor" tone that is uniquely his adds a level of humaness that is often missing from books of this type.

I'm a fan of J. Vernon McGee and I always enjoy his books. He gives great detail and insight into his book and has done the same in his Book of Psalms series. As a serious Bible student, I read many commentaries and othe books on various books of the Bible to give me insight into God's Word, and J. Vernon McGee always offers me some new insight. His look at Book of Psalms is easy to read, and is full of many insights, leading you to discover new insights for yourself, which helps you grown in understanding the Word of God. I highly recommend this book.
