5.0 out of 5 stars You'll never enjoy the Psalms so much, June 7, 1999
This review is from: The Psalms in English (Penguin Classics) (Paperback)
While this is a buried book, and I doubt anyone will ever read this review, I can't recommend this book enough to any believer of God and the Bible.

The Psalms were originally written in Hebrew, using poetic styles that simply never existed in Western society. These classical and European poets were among the first to take this religious poetry and translate it into modern verse, and after getting only a third of the way through the book it's given me a whole new look at the meaning of some of these psalms. Many poems that were inspired by te Psalms, or particular verses, are also included.

I've added this book to my regular Bible readings, and if you have the patience to delve the meaning of these poems, they'll certainly be of value to you, too.
