About the Author

Bob Saffrin lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife Barb and their beagle Rocky. Bob and Barb have two children and four grandchildren. Bob loves the outdoors and has been on many backpacking trips in the rugged Boundary Waters area of Minnesota including winter camping. In his 20s, Bob began a fascination with the Bible. After reading the New Testament several times and convinced that God had died on the cross to save him, Bob asked Jesus into his life and began a wonderful lifelong relationship. His fascination with the Bible became a love for God and for his word. Bob has been teaching and preaching for over 35 years.

I'm always blessed when I read a book by Bob Saffrin. He truly knows how to encourage his readers to pursue the amazing life God has planned for them. This book has encouraged me in so many ways. I read most of it while on a long road trip to and from vacation and I constantly had to pause while reading this book to just think about God, His goodness in my life, and where He was taking me. God's character is truly revealed to the reader in this book. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It would make a great book for a group study too!

Like most readers of the Bible I love the Psalms for both pleasure and especially for inspiration in periods of trail. Bob Saffrin's book, "Psalms: The Sunrise of Hope" is an excellent study and guide to some of the best Psalms.

The author's insight helps bring the psalmist words to life and added life application examples, making it easy to relate to my life. I have always been taught to use the Bible to explain and define the Bible. Bob Saffrin does this as he provides insight to the heart and soul of the psalmist. He uses other scriptures to interrupt the true meaning of the psalm.

I found "Psalms: The Sunrise of Hope" to be very uplifting and informing. I really enjoyed this book and Bible study.

I highly recommend "Psalms: Sunrise of Hope" by Bob Saffrin to all ages.

Bob beautifully portrays the overriding theme of "hope" throughout this unique compilation of psalms. He describes today's global epidemic as a despair of insignificance. It's touching to hear him write: "God lays his hand on us, not like when our dad laid his hand on us when he caught us sneaking out after curfew, but the way a loving father gently puts his affirming hand on the shoulder of his beloved son." I love how he weaves this affirming theme of significance throughout each hand-picked psalm. He re-emphasizes this thot by saying: "The Lord loves to find those who are lost and wandering and give them a home...he searches us the way a sculptor would scrutinize his masterpiece. Even though he created it and knows it intimately, he still runs his hand over it to cherish and enjoy every line and curve." Read this book for a refreshing view of your great significance in the eyes of a Mighty Master Designer.
