Only covers through about Book II of psalms and no Companion offered,

Really enjoying Spurgeon's insight on psalms as I teach to a College group, but unaware this is only the first volume of two and I can't find the second on amazon.

This is a great help in reading the psalms for someone who does not know a lot about the writing style of the Psalms. I was expecting more of a scholarly commentary, but i got what i should have expected from Mr. Spurgeon; and that is a more meditation type commentary. Great Stuff!! just not exactly what i was looking for. If you want something to help dwell on the psalms and be struck by how personal they can be, this is great book for that.Very good book. Mine was in almost perfect condition Didnt look like it had been read yet, but i might have bought it brand new.

Perfectly happy with this edition of Spurgeon's commentaries--though I haven't read his original volumes, for comparison. An engaging, helpful, satisfying read.
