I've been using the Psion series of palmtops from the 3c back in 96 through to the 5MX now and have been very happy with those products. What has impressed me most is Psion's attention to detail and I was glad to see that this attention to detail is also present on their other products.The pcmcia modem I had languishing in an unused notebook plugged in and worked first time. I was happy to note that the unit will also accept the same power adaptor used for the Psion itself and impressively powers both units when its plugged in to either one. The card adaptor can be powered by 4 AA baterries and offers reasonable lifespan dependent on your modem usage (obviously) and the type of pcmcia card you use. I'd recommend it to anyone who can put up with the cabling and happens to have a pcmcia modem hanging around. |
