5.0 out of 5 stars great for those who want a "bird breeding bible", January 28, 2001
This review is from: Psittacine Aviculture: Perspectives, Techniques and Research (Hardcover)
Well writen... excellent chapters on aviary construction and design as well as an amazing amout of data on everything from feather growth in a variety of chicks to serum blood values in a number of different species. Some chapter were very short (i.e. 2 pages or less) but those were generally were about topics that are not central to the book.... Great color photo sections as well. I would hope that a 2nd ed. would have a bit more written on quarintine and viral disease as both topics were barley talked about.... overall a great book for those interested in breeding parrots... highly recomended
