Psych Your Diet: A Daily Dose is part of the diet/weight loss for women collection published by Symmetry Press.
Doing the topic in 3 volumes let us do justice to each of the different stages of dieting slash weight loss: Starting, Sticking to It, and then Keeping the Lost Weight Off.
Our main concern, which we hope comes through loud and clear, is to help a woman with the "getting herself to do it" part of losing unwanted weight. It's "getting yourself to do it" that's the key to successful personal change. We call the getting-yourself part the psychological side--in this case, of dieting and weight loss.
Just like there are plenty of "how to's" when it comes to diet food plans and exercise regimens, we want there to be good, motivating, inspiring, effective "how to's" for "getting yourself to do it".
Psych Your Diet: A Daily Dose is a "how to". It is different from our first book, Breaking Up With Food: Maria's Last Diet, which is a novel of passionate weight loss. But like Psych Your Diet, Breaking Up With Food is again about the psychological side. Although it is a novel, the book delivers its self-help by pulling the reader deep into a psychological milieu.
