The major reason this got such a low score is OH LORD THE TYPOS. They are awful, many sentences don't even make sense at all (as in you can't even figure out what the heck they mean), and there are misspellings galore. It makes it hard to understand concepts when half the sentences don't make any sense!
It emphasizes the biological basis of mental illness which helps students understand the different psychiatric disorders.
The key terms and the summary of key points are very helpful in helping students focus on the important material
The critical thinking challenges at the end of each chapter are extremely useful.
I have had very positive feedback from my students and will continue to use this book.
However, it is a book and it was cheap and I am on a tight budget and affordable textbooks are nice. The code has still not been used so from that standpoint the book is awesome. I couldn't ask for a more affordable book with the online code.

It was okay, but I had to have it for class and it would not be my first choice for a text book.Published 14 months ago by alexsmermaid
I'm not a huge fan of the formatting of the book. Also I find the number of typos somewhat distracting.Published 16 months ago by Freundly27
