I'm a fan of made incredibly easy nursing book series. So far they provided me with great resources to help me study for my classes. However, I find this book below standard comparing with the other incredibly easy books. In psychiatric nursing, we focused more on client-nurse relationship and communication, and this book failed to accomodate that section which was the essential and core parts of psychiatric nursing. Your best bet is to stick to your textbook and don't bother buying this guide book. It only focuses on medication. Authors, this is not a medical surgical guide book; it is a psychiatric nursing guide book. Please remember that!

I purchased this book when I changed my area of Nursing. It is very easy to read and understand. I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn about Psychiatric Nursing.

I purchased this book when we hired a secretary at my job in mental health who had no real mental health experience. It helped me to help her understand the whole field without scaring her or overwhelming her. I have since left that job and use this book for the case managers when they have questions on our clients diagnosis. The case managers also use this book for patient teaching as it's written in language everyone can understand. I recommend this book wholeheartedly for anyone who is looking for plain english Psych information.

This book does a great job in boiling down the fluff and giving you a brief outline of each disorder while giving equal weight to each of the treatment options, which inlude medications. I think that this book offers a great "barebones" approach to the information covered.

i wasn't a fan of the made incredibly easy series till i borrowed this book from the library everyday. My school is on a 10 week quarter system, and i was taking 19credits including maternity and some other tough nursing classes. I work a full time job to pay for school and rent so I did not have time to read the textbook. All i read was this book and i got a solid A, 0.05 shy of an A+. I never bought the textbook for the class, i read this book religiously and it was the best thing for i had that stressful quarter. The only questions i missed on my final were questions from the textbook which we had been taught in class but i never paid attention. this book is a must have for psych. it actually moved me to by the incredibly made easy for peds and i'll say that wasn't as helpful as the one for psych nursing.

This book was an amazing supplemental study aid. I purchased it for a great price, and received it fairly quickly in the mail from the seller. I learn best by writing and rewriting and answering practice questions. This book really helped me with that. My professor actually recommended this publication! Boy am I glad I purchased it!!

I bought this book because I was looking for a good guideline to study for my EC exam for my BSN program.
Pros: It is easy to read, and it lists things that are needed to know for the exam.
cons: not enough practice questions.
for $42 I thought this book would come with a CD of questions.
For this test I will be using the Reviews and Rationales mental health nursing instead so I can practice questions.

I bought the CD because I did not have any clue about psych nursing and I used to get the worst grades on this section of nursing. After I bought this CD and did the questions chapter by chapter, I managed to get A's on this
section. It is not a joke, but the CD rom worked wonders for me and I will highly recommend it to anybody who is struggling with psych. It is a shame they stopped producing more CD rom for this part of nursing.

This book is a great study if you are perparing for the Regional Psychiatric Nurses Exam.

This book gives a pretty good "cliff notes" review of the main topics. It goes along with many textbooks. It can be slightly repetitive, but in general it hits the main topics, gives you a good level of overview, and moves on.
