5.0 out of 5 stars Startling! Chilling! This is "must know" information.
This book is a chilling look at the truth about the subject of psychiatry. This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
This book is a chilling look at the truth about the subject of psychiatry. It strips away the hudreds-of-millions of dollars of public-relations-hype that gives us a false (but comforting) picture of psychiatry, and reveales it for what it really is - the most destructive force in western civilization today. Certainly psychiatry is a "wolf in sheeps clothing", but perhaps if there really is a devil, psychiatry is his network for bringing degredation and destruction to mankind. The author has done an excellent job of ignoring the public-relations picture, to reveal the very destructive results continually produced by this insidious subject. This book is a "must read" for everyone who wants to help ensure the preservation of freedom, western culture and the "American way of life".

5.0 out of 5 stars Psychiatry Kills, April 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
Reading this book made me feel good, like I had just taken a two week vacation in Hawaii. Why is that? You'll have to read it and find out for yourself. Psychiatry is a non-scientific profession that offers no real lasting solutions for problems people or society experience. There is a real reason for the demise of it's so-called popularity, yet government's still continue to use it to punish the population. The book explores how psychiatry grafted itself onto government support, and how it continues to be well connected to media and government sponsorhip and how it has intruded into the educational system and legal system. Anything invaded by psychiatric ideas [mental virus] seems to get worse and have more problems then ever. You'll read some things that I'll bet you didn't know had originated from psychiatry! Life doesn't have to be filled with fear, pain and unhappiness, that is, unless you're a psychiatrist harming people while pretending to 'help' them with unworkable technology . This book is one of the most excellent written and researched studies of psychiatry. It should be required reading for all students, not just those studying to become doctors! Oh yes, it should be required reading for every newly married couple. If you want to increase your chances of a successful marriage and have fewer problems with your children, read this book!

This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
Just a quick note that the positive reviews posted here are written by Scientology shills who do their best to mark the negative reviews as "non-helpful" and hide them. To be frank, Wiseman's an awful writer and an even poorer researcher, as the book is almost entirely filled with false facts, lies and broad generalizations. Wiseman is the head of a lunatic Scientology front group (hilariously called the Citizen's Commission on Human Rights, in spite of the fact that this organization is itself guilty of gross human rights violations) with a stated goal of destroying psychiatry and placing Scientology at the forefront of the world. This book is characterized by a marked ignorance of medical evidence and a preponderance of poorly backed opinion -- Wiseman has no bearing nor background to pronounce on medical issues, and anyone with a modicum of intelligence will quickly realize his blatant disregard for the truth.

Funnier still is the fact that he titles the book "The Ultimate Betrayal." Wiseman should know quite a bit about betrayal, as he abandoned his own daughter when she voiced public criticisms about the Scientology cult -- indeed, he was forced to follow a doctrine of "disconnection" that is demanded by the cult in any case of public criticism. His daughter has recently started a terrific website (www.exscientologykids.com) along with the niece of the cult's psychotic, high school dropout leader, that details the cult's crimes and abuses. Your time would be much better spent reading that website than this poor excuse of a book. Why put any trust in someone whose own maniacal religious dogma has caused him to destroy his own family?

5.0 out of 5 stars The frightening truth about the Psychiatric Industry, October 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
"Psychiatry: The Ultimate Betrayal" examines psychiatry from its beginnings to its current state. It dissects and evaluates the philosophy of psychiatry and the various treatments used by psychiatrists. It gives the actual facts about the results obtained by psychiatry and is a vital reference for anyone considering undergoing any type of psychiatric or psychological treatment.

The book is called "The Ultimate Betrayal" for good reason. As you read you realize that this profession is not just harming under the guise of help, but is destroying minds and lives as a normal part of its activities.

This is probably the best researched book I have ever read. Every fact is backed up with its source. It is well written and riveting but be prepared, Steven King is mild indeed compared to the evil of psychiatry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Psychiatry? Better Think Again!, February 7, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
I've read all the reviews to this book, and I purchased and have just recently completed reading this book. I already knew much of what psychiatry preaches is not too worth while, but this book has had a profound impression on me. This book has instilled in me to not only question everything related to psychiatry, but to start asking questions over so many other issues in my life. The book opens your mind up to the way things really are in reality, and not what we wish or would like things to be. There is nothing wrong with having high expectations in all our pursuits, but there is such great danger to be vulnerable to influences we have not questioned, examined, or investigated fully. I would think this book could help anyone who wants a quality understanding of mental health. I'm left with the opinion that I am my best mental health advocate, and I am capable of overcoming about anything in my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Facts About Psychiatry, December 17, 2010
By
Bill Wagner (Portland, OR USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
This book laid down what I had suspected. I am a psychiatric survivor, and I have seen first hand the atrocities committed by this so-called profession. Nothing they do works. Their drugs maim and kill. They still use electric shock, one of the most barbaric practices man has ever done. Psychiatry epitomizes junk science. This book's information is fully documented and all the facts can be cross-checked. There isn't a single morsel in this book that is out of line or non-factual. Read it for yourself. Do the research yourself.

Psychiatry needs to be obliterated from the face of the earth if mankind is to advance any further.

5.0 out of 5 stars Info suppressed, and denied that explains the social moras, October 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
Back in time before the advent of modern psychiatry thinkers were priest and doctors were barbers. Today the barber/thinkers have emerged. By no accident did this group come to cont ensnare society in it's powerful and insideous grip.

Picture yourself confused and upset, your thoughts clouded by prescribed medication, your freedom dependent on the opinions of men in white coats with whom you have no personal connection other than you have been placed in their charge. Psychiatry the Ultimate Betrayl chronicles the sorid history of the profession and traces it's influence on historical events that may shock you into denial and disbelief. The facts however do remain.

For those who wonder how we have come to the death of outrage. This book sheds a light as warning beacon for all. It is an important document for anyone who still cares.

5.0 out of 5 stars A documented read that clearly shows psychriatry's intent.., October 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
This book is not a pleasant book. But it is a very interesting, neccessary book to read. It explains the basic tenants of which psychriatry operates from and what they have done over the years. It has facts, fact after fact that shows how it has crept into the very fabric of our lives. It shows how it has undermined and how it continues to undermine man's spiritual and mortal survival.

The casualities of this so called "science" are staggering. Why are America's and the world morals declining? Why can't our education system teach like they used to? Why are millions of children being put on addictive psychotropic drugs? This book answers why.

The book raises an interesting point. Despite literally billions and billions of dollars and vast government programs supporting psychriatry things have not gotten any better. In fact things on this planet have got a hell of a lot worse with them having carte blanche running the minds of man.

You should read this book, if you care about yourself, your family, group or mankind. People think psychriatry is giving them mental health. What they are really doing is giving mental UNhealth and on a planetary scale. Education, family, law, religion, military, even intelligence agencies, this book touches on them all. Read this book and then do something about it after you've read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for any decent human being who care for his family, October 22, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
This book is terrific! It will let you know what kind of "experts" exist in the field of psychiatry and will open your eyes on what is really going on. It is very accurate and the documentation provided to support the statement in the book is very reliable. If you care for yourself, your family and friend, you must read this book so that you are aware of what is happening in the field of psychiatry and take the necessary precautions to protect your family and friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chilling and awakening., June 22, 1999

Tom Hall, CTC (Glendale, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Psychiatry, the Ultimate Betrayal (Hardcover)
This excellently researched and lucidly written dissection of the development and activities of the Psychiatric establishment was immediately a favorite. If Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward met Stephen King and pursued the trail of madness and subsidized chaos they could not have surpassed Mr. Wiseman's straightforward and gripping exposition of the development of influence and and power by the Psyciatric elite. Here he lays out clearly the methods in creating madness, subsidy and more madness. I cannot recommend this highly enough as an enjoyable and enlightening addition to the aware and concerned person's library.
