Frightening,
By
This review is from: Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. (Paperback)
I do not agree with everything is this book. For example, while I do agree that False Memory Syndrome has been abused in order to cover up real crimes, false memories have also been used to convict innocent people. I have a degree in psychology and the main reason I decided not to go into the profession is because of my disgust with much of it, including its many manufactured "diseases". However, there is still much that is valid with the profession and I have witnessed people being given indisputably false memories under experimental conditions. But this, of course, does not mean every memory is false (in fact, this supports his overall thesis). One has to be careful in criticizing anything with too broad a brush stroke. That being said, this is a very thoroughly researched book on the history of mind control experiments, especially in the U.S., with references to, e.g., articles written by Nobel Prize recipients. This book blows the lid off of violations of human rights committed by the U.S. government and others, adding to the damage done by the CIA's already damning public admissions about their MK-Ultra program (and only about 5% of the MK-Ultra files avoided destruction in an attempted coverup before it was discovered by the public!). Even if you reject half of the data and conclusions in this book, what is left is not only extremely informative but terrifying. It is clear from Alex Constantine's writing that he is not a sensationalist, but is genuinely outraged at the injustices committed by the government and wishes to expose them. While this quest may, in my opinion, at times blind him when he is assessing his data, much of it is indisputable and I consider him to be a courageous advocate for the freedom and dignity of human beings and not a charlatan or a phony like many other authors.

Small Voice: You Will Buy This Book... buy the book..,
This review is from: Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. (Paperback)
As investigative writer and author of the The Professional Paranoid, I found PD/USA jambed tight with useful details and facts, despite a diminutive appearance. I am often asked by others for various helps or information, and often, referring them to PD/USA becomes a perfect starting point for their coming to understand what forces are really at play in the real world. It is NOT a pretty picture...When former heads of the American and Canadian Psychiatric Associations and many other infulential professional groups came directly from CIA mind control projects... When, despite CIA telling Congress that mind control did not work and the research was abandoned, that (as is found in the Appendix of The Professional Paranoid) approximately half of all CIA proprietaries operating in the U.S. have something to do with mind control projects... That anyone who does have a problem CANNOT turn to a professional for help because the professional will automatically label them mentally ill, and perhaps hand deliver them directly to their tormentors 'for further treatment'. The cover is ugly. The topic uglier. The truth ugliest of all. But not to know the truth is to be an obedient lemming chasing the tail of the doomed critter in front of you.

ass-kickin' good overview of mind control technology,
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. (Paperback)
Very informative overview of mind control technology, and the governments unwillingness to admit to its infringement upon civil liberties. Also, excellent take on the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, a group dedicated to, it would seem, denying that child and cult abuse takes place at all. Also, interesting theories on the true nature of "alien" abductions. A must read for any conspiracy buff, especially those skeptical of the alien hypothesis. Flying saucers are man-made. Don't be taken in by the hype decimentated by Hollywood and crackpot saucer buffs. Constantine is at the top of his field, and in top form in this excellent book

Against Psychiatric Torture!,
By JGM "JGM" (New York, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. (Paperback)
This is only one of several excellent books that I have seen recently warning of the extent of governmental use of "psychiatrists and/or psychologists"
The astonishment and horror that one experiences when reading allegations of the misuse of drugging, of hypnosis, as well as other forms of abuse cannot be overemphasized. The abuse that DOES become known represents only the tip of the iceberg, according to the Foundation for Truth in Reality and also Citizens Commission on Human Rights International, both of which are available on-line, and cannot be meliorated by allegations concerning the misbehavior of the victims of such torture. Every human being, including every alleged wrongdoer, is entitled to fundamental human rights of autonomy, privacy and due process of law. Nothing excuses the violation of such rights.

Fantastic Book,

I thoroughlly enjoyed this book, and learned a great deal about the dark side of American politics and the warfare state in the process. This is one of the best books I have ever read, bar none. The chapters on CIA covert ops are especially informative.

Some of this I know to be true.,
This review is from: Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. (Paperback)
At first, I thought some of this to be far-fetched. That is until I got into some areas that I had first-hand experience with, for example the case of the Green Beret Captain Jeffery MacDonald. Constantine reports that MacDonald became suspicious when there was an epidemic of heroin use in the Ft. Bragg area, and MacDonald traced this to heroin coming into the area inside the bodies of killed-in-action out of Vietnam. I know that this went on because I investigated a case of exactly this happening in 1972.
This book contains a wealth of information hard to find anywhere else, and I strongly recommend it. If you are one to automatically disregard information that threatens your fundamental beliefs, don't bother. This book will surely do that. I understand that Alex Constantine has recently disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

entertaining, to say the least,
This review is from: Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. (Paperback)
a highly entertaining, disturbing and enlightening book. Of course, take it with a grain of salt, but certainly take it. Alex Constantine, a very unique individual, proves an enthusiastic author who backs up a lot of his claims with references and supporting data.
If 10% of the book makes sense to you, then I think the power of that 10% makes it worth the read. Goes well with "Everything is Under Control" by Robert Anton Wilson.

Introduction to Mind Control Efforts,
By Teddy Dover "sarge" (Peabody, Ks) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. (Paperback)
This is a older book full of facts and allegations about the hazy world of CIA brain manipulation and societal control research. There is absolutely no love loss between the author and the Republican Party, or any conservative for that matter.
My main problem with this book is that it is written like at least three small books woven into one. It is almost like the author lost focus and wandered off topic and lost focus on the subject. The topics the author discusses are interesting but only connected by small threads of allegations which haven't been proved. The topics include: the CIA research into brain manipulation by mental health professionals, researching drugs (to include Nutra Sweet) and other "non-lethal" human control weapons, the use of cults like Jim Jones' "The Peoples' Temple" by the CIA to test human control measures, and the nation-wide problem of ritualized child abuse. Each individually would have made a more coherent book. This is why I rated this book only with three stars. The information provided is a good introduction to each set of facts but the presentation is fair at best.

Very Informative inspite of author's bias,
By GangstaLawya (TimBuckToo) - See all my reviews

I heartily agree with the spotlight reviewer who addresses the false dichotomy of left/right. Although Mr. Constantine has done the public a service by citing instances of abuse of the public by purported government officials, his labeling of such sources as "far right" is absurd.
The socalled communist/capitalist dichotomy, right wing/left wing dichotomy, conservative/liberal, and so on, are labels that serve the status quo, it doesn't abrogate it. Freemasons and Juwes are in the business of controlling the opposition. If you pay attention to what democrats and republicans say, both are in the business of serving the New World Order and/or Israel.

It is ok, but a bit willy nilly, would not recommend as a beginners text in conspiracy theory as it it is too jumbled and poorly written to build a good base on, but it has its moments of lurid tabloid derri-do.
Check out Feral House, New Falcon, Amok, Disinfo...for better stuff than this.... Peter Levenda, William Cooper, David Icke, Alex Jones, Christopher Hyatt, Jordan Maxwell, Aleister Crowley, or Jim Keith will all answer your questions. |
