I love this book. You can tell from the first chapter that Diane Stein really knows what she's talking about and it shows in her simple, easy to read writing style. This book has been tremendously helpful to me in learning techniques to follow to heal myself, thus helping me make the transition from relying on healers to taking charge of my own healing process and learning to follow my own intuition. The information on clearing cords and psychic attacks is particularly helpful and has greatly helped my life.

I enjoy all of Ms. Stein's books. They are written in easy to understand language and are great as reference resources. This book is no exception. It takes some of her previous work and puts it together into a comprehensive package you can turn to time and again. Not sure why anyone would mind the references to Wicca. I realize that people write from what they know. Interestingly, we don't knock Deepak or Wayne Dyer for this, but we are put off when it is coming from an even less mainstream faith. I also find it amusing when people put reviws on sites such as this knocking this author for using "she" instead of "he" and referring to women as students, seekers, etc. instead of men. It is so telling to me just how brainwashed we are in this society to see things from the male perspective. Does anyone ever stop to think why this makes us uncomfortable - even WOMEN? I think Stein does this for a reason. (And I don't think it has anything to do with hating men!) Look inside yourself. Perhaps it's time to take the blinders off regarding the patriarchy that still permeates our world and the inequality which exists even inside ourselves. I look forward to Ms. Stein's next work. Wonderful stuff, as always.

I purchased this book a year ago and am now reading it again because of its usefullness to me. I grew up and went through six years of college at O.S.U. and never really joined a religion nor believed in "Angels", however Diane is'nt writing this book to persuade people into a religion or cult. This is quite clear. She seems very genuine on simply relaying her knowledge and healing to others. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in helping themselves and others. Her writing is easy to read and she seems to have lots of experience and facts with her as well. thanks Diane

I found the book very informative. Good data and in keeping with the high quality of her 'Essential Reiki' book (my standard for Rekik study.) My only notation is her consistant reference to Wikka and feminism/goddess. It's used as a flag for her personal values and I found the permeating references more of a distraction to the whole work, rather than a,perhaps, necessary adjunct.

Not my favorite in this area, but still very good information for everyone interested in developing their intuition and self-healing skills. It's great not having to depend on barbaric Western medicine and surgeries, but to take more of an active part in healing oneself. I'd sure enjoy Diane's writing more if she would use more sections, sub-titles, etc. to make finding information easier.

I found this book amazing, so insightful and helpful. It opened my mind and awareness of every humans divinity. It brings the tools for us to take charge of our own health. And gives actual processes we can utilize to clear/release some of our own muck and debris from our lives. It was very exhilarating to feel the lightness after letting go of chunks of emotional issues, I had been carrying for years. How empowering!
I frequently return to various steps, and am rewarded with deeper insights and awareness.

A very complete manual of meditation and spiritual healing, specially for the Reiki and/or crystal practitioners. It starts with simple excercises about meditation and then goes on to more complex spiritual experiences.

This book was purchased as a gift to someone. I already have my own copy. It is a wonderful source of information and should be read by all healers/light workers.

This book will do well for anyone on a path to overcome physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual dis-ease. Stein goes over the basics of meditation, visualization, hands-on healing, crystal healing, and more. One chapter may be all you need, or you may find that you resonate with all of the healing methods which are described.

I found it helpful that the author talked about all of the troubles and stress that she went through before and during her quest for healing. It helps to relate to these writers who are "giving" us some direction when you know that they are just as prone to troubles and stressors in life. Stein does in a good job in making you feel a part of being a healer, instead of an outsider looking in.

It is no secret that Stein resonates more with feminine energy and is not afriad to let that shine in her book. It seems that this can be troubling for some who read it, but I personally found it inspiring. If you are of a more masculine energy this may not be the book for you, but if you are open to the feminine then Stein has a lot of positive inspiration to share in regards to healing and living an empowered life.

In summary, I couldn't get past the first chapter without getting angry at this woman. Not only did she put down the male sex, but she inserts the word "Goddess" in every other sentence to represent a higher entity and the "woman" reader. This was nothing but a book on preaching the Wiccan religion and putting down anything that is masculine.
She notes in the Introduction that women were the true shamans and witches and that men have contributed to nothing before modern "patriarchal" medicine was invented. I guess all the Native American medicine men were figments of our imagination. Every example that she uses is a woman, and leads the reader to believe that we women should only heal other women because that is what she does.
I really wanted to learn from this book, but I just couldn't concentrate without feeling like I was turning traitor to God just because he's a man. I don't practice Wicca and I don't believe that the higher power is a woman. I also believe that men need to be healed and loved just as much as women do. If you agree, you probably won't like this book but that's just my opinion.
