The Fascinating Life of a Psychic,

This review is from: Psychic Secrets - Your Guide to Dreams, Hunches, and Spirit Contact (Paperback)
This is much more than an arid "how-to" kind of book. At its heart, "Psychic Secrets" is the charming memoir of one man's journey through life - from his beginnings as the "normal" child of psychic parents, through the death of his parents, to his own maturation as a psychically sensitive adult. There are, indeed, useful tips about how to fan one's own psychic flame. For this reader, though, the enchantment in this book lies in the stories from Joseph Mullen's unusual, "paranormal", life - those are the "psychic secrets" that stayed with me long after I closed the book. If a book is, essentially, an author's voice, then a good book is the voice of an author who is well worth your attention. "Psychic Secrets" is such a book.

Hey, I really liked this book!,
By Bob (Haverford, PA (USA)) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Psychic Secrets - Your Guide to Dreams, Hunches, and Spirit Contact (Paperback)
To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure about what I would find when I ordered this book. I think I'm somewhat psychic, and figured it would be interesting to find out how to be MORE psychic.Well, "Psychic Secrets" really did help me. (Especially the part about dreams) Mullen has quite a few helpful tips and he just has this different way of looking at the world that I could relate to. Also, I didn't expect to find out so much about his life, but that's how he shows you how this psychic stuff works, by telling you about his own, kind of weird, life! (I mean good weird...) And by the way, the photo on the cover isn't the author! It's a picture of his (amazingly psychic) parents, and according to the book, Joseph Mullen took it back in the '70s. It reminds me of the kinds of outfits my own parents wore in the '70s. (At least HIS dad wasn't wearing a turquoise leisure suit - my dad's favorite!)

A Fun Read and Very Informative,
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychic Secrets - Your Guide to Dreams, Hunches, and Spirit Contact (Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book. From the first few pages it draws you into the real-life adventures of the author, including his psychic vision of a plane crash. Plus the techniques, what the author calls "psychic secrets" are very easy-to-follow tips about recording and interpreting dreams, overcoming grief about a loved one's passing, being open to contact from the other side, etc. But most of all, I enjoyed all the good stories that the author has to share. My only complaint? It was so good I hated to put it down when I was finished. But it's a book I'll probably read again and again, especially because it has a lot of good suggestions that will help me develop my ESP. Until I read this book, I didn't even realize I was psychic. But that's the whole point of the book, everyone has these powers! And this book will help you tap into your own ESP.
