1.0 out of 5 stars An Awful Book!
When I see other reviewers give this book 5 stars, I wonder if we're reading the same book! The whole book, in a nutshell, is about a dumb blonde stereotype of a girl, flaunting her bodacious body in skin tight clothing, teetering around in her high heels, exclaiming stupid phrases, "Withering witch balls"!! The guy she is incessantly teasing with her sexual charms is so...

5.0 out of 5 stars My first review disappeared. Re-posting., August 19, 2007
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
Harmony Cartwright lives in Salem with her sisters, Destiny and Storm. Eight months ago the triplets were homeless. Now they not only have a home with their half-sister, Vickie, but also have co-ownership of a vintage clothing store named The Immortal Classic. They are hereditary Pictish witches and each has a psychic gift. Destiny reads the future. Storm reads the present. Harmony reads the past.

At a charity costume sale, Harmony's gift leads her to purchase a gold gown. Upon opening her mind to the gown's past, Harmony learns that it once belonged to a woman named Lisette. The sisters find a Celtic puzzles ring hidden in the hem. Reading the ring's past leads Harmony to Paxton Castle. The castle resides on a small island where, it seems, a spirit or two are in need of her help.

King Paxton is the heir of Paxton Castle. He wants nothing more than to fix it up and sell it off quickly. Everyone who has lived in the castle, himself included, has had nothing but misery and misfortune. The construction crew King hired is on a tight schedule. But staying on schedule is almost impossible with all the bad luck running rampant. Then there is the problem of the loud ghostly wailings. Everyone is on edge. But when the hot babe enters the area, peace and quiet descends. King offers Harmony a job as a live-in peace keeper with Gussie, the castle's ghost bent on spreading discord. With Harmony around, perhaps his crew can get some work accomplished. While there, Harmony has King's permission to pillage the castle for any vintage clothing she may desire. King has no idea that a couple of surprise visitors are en route which will turn his world even further upside-down.

Harmony is in vintage heaven! As Harmony looks for treasures, she also tries to understand what Gussie wants. As a plus, King is a hot stud she hopes to play with very soon. Too bad the man has an ice rod stuck up ... Well, she'd just have to thaw the man out. As for the Gussie, the spirit could very well be the strongest negative entity Harmony had ever encountered. She may need her sisters' help on this one.

***** Harmony and King may be the main focus of this novel, but Destiny and Storm meet their future matches within this tale as well. There are more hot scenes and teases than in the author's previous stories, but hey, bedroom time is positive time. (No negative vibes to strengthen the ghost at all.) The story has its own type of balance as well, building and connecting each twitchy witch, and their individual kittens, with each non-believing male. The section where Harmony and King meet Gussie sent chills down my spine. And each time Gussie toyed with someone, those chills would reverse direction and go straight back up. These triplets bring pure fun to the story with each outrageous stunt; and it all leads up to witchy climax that will warm your very soul. Author Annette Blair just may be a witch herself. I can hardly wait until the next Cartwright triplet spins her spell. Out-freaking-standing! *****

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Witch Yet!, November 15, 2007
By
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
Harmony Cartwright is psychically-gifted, as are her triplet sisters. When the trio happen upon an antique Celtic ring hidden in the hem of a gown while browsing a yard sale, Harmony's own unique gift of reading objects is activated. Experience has taught Harmony there is no turning from a psychic mandate when it compels her to solve a mystery. In this case, she is led to a haunted island castle owned by the devastatingly handsome King Paxton. The sexual attraction between these two lead characters is instantaneous and spirals into a hot-hot read. Annette Blair's signature sharp wit is as entertaining as always, but the seaside ghost story setting makes this romance a personal favorite among her witch series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!!, November 8, 2007
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
Another great book from the author. This is the second book in the "witch" series and just as the first one pulled you in with the madcap storyline, this was does, too. I couldn't put the book down, even though I should've. that's not a good thing to do when you have four little ones running around. This book keeps you wanting to flip page after page.

5.0 out of 5 stars an exhilarating romantic fantasy, August 11, 2007
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
Like her older half sister Vickie and her triplet siblings (Destiny and Storm) Harmony Cartwright has paranormal skills. She can touch an ancient artifact and learns its past, a skill that is handy where she works at her older sister's Salem, Massachusetts antique store The Immortal Classic.

When she touches a ring found inside a dress, Harmony learns of its past at Paxton Castle on nearby coastal Massachusetts. She travels there to remove Gussie the angry spirit haunting the castle. To her shock she finds a psychic connection to the new owner King; and even more stunning an attraction to him. However, Harmony knows she is in over her head with the acrimonious Gussie so she calls for her siblings to help her remove the ghost haunting Paxton Castle, but plans to act alone when it comes to King.

The first of the triplet sequels to the big sister's tale (see SCOT, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE) is an exhilarating romantic fantasy starring an interesting heroine and the man who employs her to control the rancorous unwanted spirit bewitching his castle. Readers will appreciate the antics of the triplets as they struggle to send Gussie on to the next plane while laughing with joy at King's caresses of the seductress who owns his heart.

I thought it was AWFUL, but if you like shallow characters and lots of gratuitous sex, then this book is for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars A real disappointment, August 7, 2007
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
This book is the first of three stories focuses on the Carrtwright sisters - Harmony, Destiny and Storm. The sisters are identical triplets and, apparently, seductresses.

The focus of this story is Harmony who is the buyer for her sisters' vintage curio shop. Her psychic talent is that she can read objects and learn of their former owners. A Celtic ring leads her to a castle on the coast of Massachusetts. When she arrives at the castle she meets its owner, King Paxton, who finds he is spending ever more money trying to renovate the castle before selling it. It soon becomes apparent that the 'ghost' that causes mayhem and delays his building work is quieted when Harmony is in residence so King employs her to spend time in the castle so he can complete the necessary renovations.

There was something altogether unsatisfying about this story. It seemed to consist more of a series of loosely-connected scenes between Harmony and King. These two are instantly in lust with each other and the first third of the book sees them alternately kissing each other and then ignoring each other. Harmony is apparently looking at the vintage clothes in the castle to see what can be sold although she's also looking for the pair for the celtic ring, although how this can take up all her time over several days is unclear. King Paxton is trying to do the castle up in order to sell it plus deal with bankers and yet he doesn't actually appear to do any work and it was unclear what work he would actually do to help with the renovations.

Harmony finds out about the ghost, Gussie. almost immediately and tries to learn more about her. What she learns is that Gussie doesn't like Paxton and takes revenge in a rather poltergeist-esque way. Various bits of the castle fall down at inconvenient moments, Harmony and King get trapped in an underground cave, that sort of thing. Things become stranger when two members of King's family appear unexpectedly as well as, in due course, Harmony's two sisters. There are also a bundle of kittens thrust into the story for no good reason, various other side characters who are pretty nebulous and a denouement against Gussie which is rather a damp squib.

The appeal in this story is the feisty heroine and her two sisters, their amusing banter and quirky natures. However this appeal palled very quickly for this reader and I was left ploughing through a story with minimal plot, minimal characterisation and minimal interest.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just Awful, January 23, 2010
By
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
I rarely abandon books in the first few chapters. I usually have a need to finish them no matter what. This book was just terrible (from what little I did make myself read through).

Go read Victoria Laurie, Casie Daniels, Wendy Roberts or Juliet Blackwell. Don't waste your money on this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very sexy and a delightful read., October 30, 2008
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
Sex and the Psychic Witch was a very sexy and a delightful read. This was the first book I've read by Annette Blair and it will not be the last. Annette Blair has a great sense of humor and sure knows how to hook a reader into a great story. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. The characters felt so real and I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. Ms. Blair now has a spot on my keeper shelf as well as on my auto buy list. I highly recommend this book to those who love a funny and sexy storyline that will have you hooked and wanting more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Book 4 -Witch Stories, September 3, 2007
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
This is the 4th book by Annette Blair in her magical witch series. Her first three books were somewhat better than this one. This book did not have as much of a story as the first three. While I enjoyed the book I found that it had a little too much sex and not enough plot. I do look forward to reading her next 2 books. I hope the storyline improves.

5.0 out of 5 stars A delight, September 16, 2007

Judy "book reader" (Cincinnati, ohio United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sex and the Psychic Witch (The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1) (Paperback)
Sex And The Psychic Witch is wickedly sexy and funny story by Annette Blair.

Harmony Cartwright tries on an antique dress and feels connected to its previous owner. This dress leads to a castle owned by King Paxton. Harmony feels an instead attraction to King but she comes to find out why her visions are making her want to stay at the castle.

King Paxton is trying to restore the families homestead, Paxton Castle. The family ghost is making that impossible until Harmony Cartwright barges in. She has a calming effect on the castle and quite the opposite effect on King. He has never been so interested in a woman so fast in all of his life. But his awareness is mixed with the fact that Harmony claims she is a witch. YIKES.

When dangerous things keep happening at the castle Harmony sends out and SOS to her sisters. These triple witches must pull their strengths together to bring peace to Paxton Castle.

King and Harmony send sparks off each other from their first fiery meeting. Their banter is witty and funny. Their sexual chemistry is smoking hot and enchanting. Sex and the Psychic Witch weave a delightful spell over the reader. I am looking forward the Harmony's sister's tales.
