Mr. Wands' bio touts that he has earned a living as an intuitive psychic for most of his adult life. What it doesn't say is that he could have been earning his living teaching others to do the same thing. This book is his effort to share his knowledge and passion for communicating with your psychic self. And he does an amazing job of it.

The chapters flow very well except the last three. I might have been tempted to switch the order so that "Cleansing Yourself Of Pain And Negativity" came second to last simply because it is a very important lesson for anyone who wants to exercise their own abilities. And Mr. Wands makes it very clear that anyone can do what he does. In fact he encourages people to explore this part of themselves by offering simple things to do. He emphasizes the idea that all you have to do is pay attention.

I have over 20 years of working as a psychic both intuitive and in conjunction with the Tarot cards. Even I learned quite a bit from this gentle book that relies on anecdotes and compassion to relay a message of hope and communication. I highly recommend this book if you are even the slightest bit interested in what it takes to open up your own psychic self. Even if you don't care about that, the stories alone are worth the book. He also gives some excellent tips on how to avoid being scammed by a fake psychic.

This book covers many stories and experiences. It is not an in depth teaching book in relation to 'how to' develop or practice your psychic ability. I found the title to be misleading. Great 'basic' book if you are looking to see if the psychic realm is somewhere you might be interested in. Did do two things for me....it helped in relieving a few fears and made me aware of the possible side effects of delving into the psychic world. Couldn't put it down, yet it left me unsatisfied and wanting more as my goal was to learn "how to". Barely touched on the "how to's".

This is an amazing book by a phenomenal psychic who takes the work of John Edward one step further. It's one of those rare books that you don't want to put down and when you're finished, you wish it would go on forever. Jeff Wands helps the reader become comfortable with the psychic world by relaying his knowledge in a very accessible way. You'll come away from this book with a better understanding of how to get a handle on your life. You'll also realize that the isolationist attitude that many of us have, is just not the way it really is. Once you get that, it makes life's burdens lighter, and the concept of developing one's psychic intuition is actually a very practical tool for self-improvement.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience during a taping of The Maury Povich Show and he came up to me and totally blew me away. There was just no way he could have known that my parents had recently passed away within 3 months of each other, and that they were concerned about their cat, whose name begins with an "S". Very recently I had a reading with Jeff, which was absolutely tremendous. The detail he went into and the accuracy of his psychic intuition is just astounding.

If you're looking to get your life on track, or just get to where you want to be sooner rather than later, you need to read this book and schedule a session with Jeffrey Wands. Even if it means waiting a year, it's well worth the wait. He can save you from lifetimes of going around in circles. It's also the kind of book you'll want to give to those you care about the most. Don't delay - BUY THIS BOOK!

This is a wonderful book for people trying to recognize and develop psychic intuition. There are many examples and exercises to help you along. The personal stories themselves are forthright and thoughtful. I found myself anticipating each paragraph and only put the book down when I realized it was 3:00 am and I had to get up for work in the morning. I have seen Jeffrey on television several times and always thought he was an excellent and honest psychic medium.

I highly recommend this book.

My mom sent me this book at college and i read it in maybe two nights...i couldnt put it down...it was one of the best books ever. its helped me cope with great losses in my life and i refer back to it daily...i would reccomend this book highly...its one of those books that change your life!

I read the book and finally felt as if all my concepts of the afterlife had been validated and expanded upon. Mr. Wands has great insight and through his many experiences and clear writing he is able to share these with the world. His pyschic ability, renowed and celebrated both nationally and internationally, is a blessing and a gift, and as a reader I felt dually blessed that he would share his theories and expertise. Thank you Mr. Wands.

This book teaches the beginner about psychic phenomena and how it can affect your every day life.
I was mislead in the book's title in thinking this was more of a 'how to' book. In fact, the majority of the book tells the reader of Jeffrey's life experiences and in this I believe you can learn for yourself how to incorporate psychic power in your own life.
Do not think you will get detailed lessons and exact instructions from this book. Although it does give brief lessons to practice on your own, they are in fact, brief and nothing more than simple basics. These lessons, or better said, recommendations can leave many unanswered questions that can leave the reader yearning for more.....

This book is remarkable. It works so well on so many levels. In a gesture of warm welcome to the psychic world, Wands makes the reader feel that there was a place waiting just for you at his table of poignant life lessons, pertinent suggestions and comforting interpretations regarding the psychic world. Wands' evaluation of other-wordly phenomena reminds us that he is not speaking of a world that should be foreign and unfamiliar to us, but that he is taking us all on a journey back to ourselves. Wands helps us to recover a birthright that we somehow lost along the way, and never knew we were missing. It is pivotal for many of us to at least acknowledge the potential for a better understanding of the psychic world, and Wands makes this learning transition feel both sane and safe. In this acknowledgement, he puts the controls back into our own hands, reminding us that it was ours to begin with. Wands writes in a discernably fine style while still remaining approachable. He brings the usually amorphous concept of the "other world" into a manageable and well defined compendium of psychic explanation. From this rampart, we both cease to be afraid of hitherto unknown potentials of psychic communication, and we further become inspired to tap into abilities which were just waiting to be revealed. It is like learning to read; first , learning not to feel threatened by the unknown symbols, then learning to unlock the code, interpreting the symbols into meaningful patterns, and finally applying them to valuable concepts that can make huge changes in how we perceive our lives. While many of us have the ability to read, without the education to decipher the words, we would miss the entire world of literacy. In this book, Wands has helped us to become more psychically capable by teaching us how to read the signs along the way.

I happened upon Jeffrey Wand and his book by "accident". Went to a book signing and found Mr. Wand very straight-forward and good at helping people understand his/their psychic abilities. I did enjoy the book! (I can be quite picky, or skeptical, when it comes to some "psychic" books). I found his experiences did match some of mine (which, in itself, was reassuring). Also, my family is now on the lookout for spirits ... with a better understanding and a good respect.

I started reading this book, not really sure of what to expect, and before I knew it I was hooked. Jeffrey Wands brings you into his world and one step further. The process he went through to develop and perfect his relationship with the spirit world and his own pyschic side is a story in itself. The retelling of some truly heart-wrenching experiences may have left a lesser person too conflicted to continue and this psychic's journey will leave you awestruck. If you have ever wanted to explore your own psychic abilities, if you've ever questioned the afterlife this is the book for you. Written in such a down-to-earth fashion, this book is a quick and easy read for anyone. Having been given the opportunity to meet Jeffrey Wands, I can assure anyone with any doubts - he's the real deal!
