5.0 out of 5 stars Blast from My Metal Past! August 28, 2000
Format:Audio CD
Got the CASSETTE back in 1989 by accident. Being too lazy to return the tape, I just played the damn thing and Bang Tango grew on me and my high-haired girlfriends cruising to The Catclub and The Scrapbar in NYC. The songs are pretty diverse and while the lyrics aren't the most significant poetry you'll ever hear, the tunes are so catchy! And these guys can play!!!
I'd be curious to know where they are now and what they're doing...in any case, I'm dying to get my hands on this high-energy blast from my metal past! Highly recommended to you thirty-somethings who want to do the same.

5.0 out of 5 stars Psycho Cafe is definitely a keeper! December 20, 2001
Format:Audio CD
I first got this cd back in 1989 when it was first released - and it's still one of my all time favorite rock albums. The music and lyrics are catchy and Joe Leste is sooo awesome! It's withstood the test of time for me - a Definite keeper!!! Recommended highly!

5.0 out of 5 stars REAL METAL!!! September 10, 2003
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I remember the first time I saw the video for "Someone Like You" on MTV. I had to run out and go buy the album. I was 11 at the time so that was no easy feat since I lived in Iowa and Bang Tango was not exactly at the top of the hair band heap. However, they were hands down my favorite band and I have probably listened to Psycho Cafe more than any other album I have ever owned. Joe Leste was, in my opinion, the best screamer of the 80's (possibly only tied with Sebastian Bach) and I remember being completely disappointed by Dancing On Coals because it wasn't Psycho Cafe II. I like it better now, but this album will always remain of my favorites of all time. I only wish I was old enough at the time to go to a concert or something. Sorry that this isn't as much a review as it a remebrance...but you should check this out.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most overlooked bands of the late 80's. June 30, 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
"Psycho Cafe" was definitely ahead of its time. It is an amazing blend of metal guitar riffs, funky bass lines and drum work, and wide ranging vocals (scary to sad). I have been on a quest to find a copy of this on CD. In my opinion it is one of the 50 best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal albums of all time. It's a travesty that they didn't break bigger or stay around longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bang Tango Rocks The Psycho Cafe! March 10, 2011
By DD
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Good luck in finding this CD, it is out of print. I bought this used from a seller on Amazon and it was in excellent used condition. Psycho Cafe was Bang Tango's debut album of 1989. Joe Leste was a mighty fine vocalist and with looks to match. A lot of BT fans, myself included, would have liked to see them share in the success that many other bands in the late 80's did. They were far better than some of the bands that were around at the time. They stuck around for a while and I believe they may still be together and more power to them if they are. In my opinion, this was their very best album. It rocks big time. Long live Bang Tango.

5.0 out of 5 stars Someone like you! March 5, 2000
By rebuz

This Cd is great with a capital G. I remember the video on MTV (SLY) and I was playing my Krammer guitar to it. This album is incredible and extremely diverse. A different sound, but a welcomed style. Buy it if you can, you will not be sorrry AT ALL.

3.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Guitar Work December 9, 2005
Format:Audio CD
Buy this record for the guitar and bass work. Dueling solos and slap bass. The guys in this band were incredible musicians.
