This release should silence any and all individuals that complain about skimpy soundtrack releases, this edition contains every piece of music in the film.

And no one should ever forget that Bernard Herrmann was one of the all time great composers of film music, and his score for Psycho was his most famous work. Although copied and parodied countless times since it was first heard, nothing has everycome close to its blood chilling power. No film soundtrack library would be complete without it.

So said "Psycho"'s screenwriter Joseph Stefano about this classic score, and it's great to have this vintage (if rare) recording, under the composer's own baton, available in CD. It includes every cue from the movie, including some Hitchcock and Herrmann decided not to use. Essential for collectors of vintage film scores and all things Hitch.

The "Psycho" main theme is miles-a-minute chills and thrills for me. The famous shower music is the utmost terrifying music que ever written for film and TV. I own this product and I listen to the Prelude theme every day, leaving me with goosebumps all over my body.
