4.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming stories mostly
Psycho Kitty has 14 heartwarming stories of "bad cat" behaviors and advice how the problems were resolved along with a 15th and final heartwarming story. The stories cover a range of cat behavior problems with a history, analysis, suggestions/tips and final resolution. It is a short book and thus mostly overview.

It's more a collection of warm natured stories...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing new under the sun
Just wanted to say that, for everyone who has ever read a book about cats, the chances of finding something NEW it's very little. So think and revise your library before rushing to buy this one.

It's more a collection of warm natured stories than actual advice book. If you need a cat behavior solving handbook, you might check out some others, such as Pam's own Twisted Whiskers: Solving Your Cat's Behavior Problems or Dusty Rainbolt's: Cat Wrangling Made Easy: Maintaining Peace and Sanity in Your Multicat Home. Those have more advice and detail.

Psycho Kitty is more a "curl up in front of the fire" book. Rather than being a stand alone advice book, it is a companion volume to other cat behavior handbooks. It illustrates in uplifting stories how cat advice can improve a situation.

It is a little bit of James Herriot sprinkled with practical tips.

5.0 out of 5 stars Catchy Title, Excellent Substance, August 8, 2008
This review is from: Psycho Kitty: Tips for Solving Your Cat's Crazy Behavior (Paperback)
I got this book sort of as a joke for a colleague whose cat was refusing to use the litter box and was just plain mean. Much to my surprise, the book contains a lot of great advice, often with multiple suggestions on different approaches, for addressing many common cat problems. I don't know how it's going with my colleague's cat, but as who has shared a home with several different feline characters, I heartily recommend both this book and the author's "Twisted Whiskers" as a companion volume.

This book has many helpful suggestions for cat owners. I particularly liked the information about how to play with your cat. My cat just loves to play with toys tied to a string. We are both (my cat and me) happier since I read Bennett's book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, quick read, July 12, 2010
This review is from: Psycho Kitty: Tips for Solving Your Cat's Crazy Behavior (Paperback)
This is a fun, quick read. Not sure how much is new in here that you can't find in other books. I'm reading her other books now. The overall message about hinking about things from your cat's perspective is good.
