Stinks On Ice,

Cindy Jacobson is an attractive lounge singer who has managed to deeply offend virtually everyone with whom she has come into contact. First, there's Dave, a casting director, who once had sex with her and is now being stalked by her. Then there's Jackie: Cindy ran over dog and then sued her for damages done to her car. There's also Donna, who Cindy tormented beyond all endurance when the two went to high school together. Finally there's Mike, a comic that Cindy replaced at The Paradise Lounge.
All of them hate her. By purest coincidence, all of them have a plan to kill her. By another purest coincidence, all of them have decided to do it on the same night. And by a third coincidence each plan involves placing a boobytrap in Cindy's dressing room. Needless to say, none of them know a thing about the others. Needless to say, all of their plans backfire. If all this sounds amusing, well, it isn't. I strongly suspect the only performance this script has received was an amateur reading in the author's living room. You could cast Mae West, Groucho Marx, Carol Burnett, and W.C. Fields in this one, and not even their collective talents could pull this sucker out of the swamp. The concept is commonplace, the plot twists don't, the characters and dialogue are utterly and entirely uninspired, and when all is said and done PSYCHO NIGHT AT THE PARADISE LOUNGE stinks on ice. Having both seen and read Psycho Night, I can definately say it is a truly funny story with creative characters all twisted together in a murder-mystery plot. Keeps you in suspenseful curiousity the entire time!

Having performed in this play, I can testify that it is very fun to perform, and see. And it makes a good read, too.
