5.0 out of 5 stars All hail our Feline Overlords.
Max's chronicles as a housecat is amusing and a great read for cat lovers. His rather cynical and sassy humor (and constant potty mouth) may not be for everyone, but if you're familiar with his work and like it, this is a must-have.

3.0 out of 5 stars Psychokitty, Qu'est-ce que c'est?
Let me start by saying both that I didn't finish this book and I didn't hate it either. Also, I only read about the first 13% or so - up until the entries for Christmas.

There were some portions that made me laugh out loud - and that's great. But, between these laughs, many of the entries just didn't strike me as all that entertaining. I know this book...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for cat lovers!, January 9, 2010

Max has a distinct voice in this book, and a distinct attitude every cat owner can identify with. If you love cats, this is a book you will enjoy. Many parts are quite memorable - esp. "stinky goodness," which was my personal favorite!

This is a must-read for everyone, whether you're owned by a cat or not! Max's personality & "catitude" are great, I was chuckling throughout the whole book! Do not read this out in public, though. People look at you funny when you laugh to yourself repeatedly! Doods - read this!!

This book was highly recommended to me by a friend but I bought it as a gift for my daughter and am anxiously awaiting for her to loan it to me after she's read it.<G>

5.0 out of 5 stars Psychokitty Stress Buster!, October 29, 2011

I really like this cat's attitude. I love reading his blog. I keep copies of all three of his books on my netbook. When things at work start getting the better of me, there's nothing like a cup of tea and a quick read of anything written by my favorite Psychokitty, Max and his staffers, the Thompsons. After a refreshing read of a screen or two of Max's sence of what is right in the universe I am ready to get back into it to the fight for what's really important - bringing home all those cans of stinky goodness for my crew of psychokitties!

4.0 out of 5 stars Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, October 22, 2011

I loved this at first - I laughed out loud at almost every diary entry for about the first third of the book. I gained new perspective into what my cat is really thinking. But at about the half-way mark the entries became pretty repetitive. I stopped reading at that point. With so many books I want to read on my kindle, and so little time - I set the Psychokitty aside. Perhaps I'll go back to it at some point because parts were hilarious.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm In Love With Max the PyschoKitty, September 14, 2011

Hello Max:

I have fallen in love with you!! You are an elegant writer and succintly explain how life works with a cat.

Our son, Ozzie, has been well trained by you. We are the household staff and come on demand as needed - whether to open the Stinky Goodness cans; clean the litter box or whatever else may be needed.

As to singing @ 3 am. Yes, at first we did the same thing, Ozzie-QUIET! SHUT UP! and then after the 3rd or 4th time we realized he was just lonesome. Now when he sings @ 3 am we let him know we're listening for a couple of minutes and then we go back to sleep.

You are a wonderful inspiration to all kitty parents and I love reading your books.

Love Kathy, Gene and Ozzie (Ruler of Our Kingdom)

There were some portions that made me laugh out loud - and that's great. But, between these laughs, many of the entries just didn't strike me as all that entertaining. I know this book is a blog written from a cat's perspective so I tried to read it as if I was reading a just a random blog but I just couldn't get into it. Call me old school, but I kept expecting a plot - even though human oriented diary blogs don't necessary have a plot either.

It is well written. It's a funny idea and it is amusing. It's just apparently not my thing.

This is a quick and funny read. I loved it. I laughed on every page. Really makes me see what humans must be in the cat's eye. Fun, fast a must read for every generation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Max, February 22, 2011

I Love Max. I so saw my cat through him. I learned a lot about myslef as well. I learned that I could be Max. I love how his perspective on things shines through. One very helpful thing about this book is that it gives you pictures of Max. You don't have to wonder what Max looks. The book is very playful but at the same time it is insightful and helpful for cat owners and lovers. Loved it. I would buy another book my Max.
