5.0 out of 5 stars An incredibly Useful Tool for Psychoanalytic Reading, October 19, 2003
By
This review is from: Psychoanalytic Terms and Concepts (Paperback)
This book, in clearly written, concise definitions, outlines the major terms and concepts of psychoanalytic thinking and literature. As a candidate at a psychoanalytic institute I found it incredibly helpful and useful. If you want in-depth concepts, this is not the book for you, but if you are looking for a quick, clear definition of a psychoanalytic term, then look no further. This is way better than the Laplanche dictionary, and is indispensible for beginners in the field.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful supplement, October 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Psychoanalytic Terms and Concepts (Paperback)
My professor had us read Tyson & Tyson's Psychoanalytic Theories of Development. Tyson's glossary was not helpful enough. This book helped with the many holes that Tyson left unexplained.

I would recommend this book for those new to studying psychodynamic concepts & theories
