Paul Meehl at his best, I have yet to see anything like Dr. Meehl's way of looking at the world in terms of assessment, diagnosing and treatment. Each article was cleverly scientific. I was even embarrassed a few times because I saw myself in the wrong side of his arguments and have done the mistakes he pointed out.
Amazing work, every article has something to say to me. So I can only assume that you will find the same or similar experience. But if you have never known or read about Dr. Meehls work before. You can take a free course, all 11 sessions in the internet. If you are a psychologist and do not like him. You are crazy, well maybe not but you would be missing perhaps to understand one of the greatest minds that psychology has given to our world. If there is such a thing as a Meehlian, I am one of them. The prices at amazon couldn't be better. I looked around for a long time and here is the price. |
