5.0 out of 5 stars A Brilliant Resource, January 8, 2009
This review is from: Psychological Aspects of Reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery: Clinical, Empirical and Ethical Perspectives (Hardcover)
While doing research on psychological issues relating to cosmetic surgery, I frequently noted Dr. David Sarwer's name as the author of relevant journal articles. I was impressed by his perceptions, and eventually contacted him at the University of Pa. Medical School to ask if he would be willing to review my research. He was my guiding light to this book, which served as an invaluable resource for me. Highly readable, informative and insightful, its essays brought so much into sharp focus. The additional perceptions I gained from the articles therein enabled me to integrate the results of many of its studies into a new book - a book written by a woman about women's experiences with this often highly charged, emotional event.
