Psychological Testing:History, Principles and Applications (5th Edition) has provided the graduate student with a simplified version of psychological testing. This text can be used with any reader that goes through the rigors of learning the rudiments of psychological testing. What is most valuable in this text is the categories of tests and their explanations with case exhibits. The summaries assist with memory and easy recall of facts while the key terms and concepts after each chapter provide the student with easy recall and a simple glossary.

This textbook looks brand new, and it was available for a fraction of the price it would cost at a college bookstore! Quick shipping. Excellent transaction. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Psychological Research, August 11, 2011

I bought this book hoping to learn more about The Draw-A-Person test and I found it to be comprehensive. I'm writing a book "Clues to Your Subconscious," and although I've worked closely with psychologists as a social worker on a team, I still wanted more information and I was pleased with the book. I realize that illustrative interpretations are just examples, and conclusions based on this test alone may be invalid. I recommend the book.

The book was listed as "like new" and I can't even tell if it was ever used. The pages look new, the binding was like it was brand new right off the shelf. Very happy with the book, the vendor, and buying the textbook from Amazon.

Book is for a class I am taking. It is very detailed oriented and at times dry. Does the job for the class requirements.

2.0 out of 5 stars Book Fell Apart Right out of the Box!!, April 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The content and organization of the book are beyond reproach. The Author's have done an excellent job covering the material and it was a required purchase for a class.

The binding of the hardcover edition is terrible! The binding was cracked on receipt and has gotten worse with use. The first several sections are now separate and kept loose within the cover. Very weak glue in the binding and a disappointment for someone like me who likes to keep textbooks as a reference source.

3.0 out of 5 stars Psychological Testing, March 29, 2010

Psychological Testing: History, Principles and Applications, was a textbook that did not catch my attention instantaneously. However, as I began reading it, the more I realized how important the information in it was for psychologists. Different measures and methods for researching psychological entities are explored in this textbook, guiding students of psychology how to conduct psychological research.
Not only did I find this textbook to be helpful, although a bit dry, my 85 year old professor has been using this textbook or a version of this textbook for over 10 years!

The text seems well written and it did help me to understand an area in which I had little exposure prior to reading this text. The only drawback is that it is lacking at least one chapter on marriage and family assessments....I would hope that this might be added to any future editions!
