5.0 out of 5 stars The most complete personal develpment program
This abridged tape set is good enough to give you powerful information. You will learn many of Brian Tracy's powerful strategies for success. Play it in your car. I recommend the book Maximum Achievement on which this tape program is based and the unabridged 6 audio tape set by Nightingale-Conant which is more complete.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brian Tracy IS the best!!, February 7, 2006
This review is from: The Psychology of Achievement: Develop the Top Achiever's Mindset (Audio CD)
I have listened to self development programs for many years. I have listened to Tony Robbins, Denis Waitley, and Jim Rohn and no question, Brian Tracy is the BEST.

He is intelligent, articulate and you will not hear any cliches or over-hyped silliness, or annoying speech patterns with Brian. He just talks to you like a real person. I owe much of my success and the success path I am on now to Brian Tracy and his concepts.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Psychology of Achievement, January 23, 2006
This review is from: The Psychology of Achievement: Develop the Top Achiever's Mindset (Audio CD)
I have carefully listened to the two audio cassettes by Brian Tracy several times in my car whilst in the traffic congestion of Nairobi, Kenya whilst going to and from work. Not only does listening to the cassettes take my mind off the stress and time wastage in the traffic jam but this has also provided me with exceptional insights into how I can sharpen my mind and prime my attitude and behaviour to enable me to be a top achieve that I now am.

Brian Tracy is an excellent speaker and gifted scholar. He has helped me to identify my strengths and develop these into areas of excellence. Since I started listening to Brian's tapes, I realized that I have a talent in good writing skills and a passion for aviation. By combining these two skills, I have written and published my first book entitled "African Airlines in the Era of Liberalisation", available at www.afraa.org and soon to be available at www.amazon.com.

I have also learnt to break some of my negative habits that include negative thoughts and ineffective use of my time and can now confidently claim to be a high flyer. Brian has positively changed my life and I believe he can do this to anyone else who follows his guidelines. I recommend others to try these audio cassettes for themselves.

Now, when I feel some negative thoughts or self-doubt creeping back into my life, all I do is to again listen to the cassettes and these unproductive and destructive feeling are wiped out of my mind. I have found the cassettes to be constant companions that I can consult at will and never fail me.

Coming from a bluecollar family the ideas Tracy discusses in Psychology of Achievement were somewhat foreign, although on an unconscious level I had employed many of them while in highschool and college and I had read Power of Positve Thinking, by Norman Vincent Peale. I quit college after two years and went to work. I only wish he had been around back then (and not that long ago but before he put out these books). Psychology of Achievement, even now (and it doesn't matter when you do it, just do it, if you can) is filling the gaps in my parenting, that I had been filling with Rock music and TV ( :( sad to admit) for so many years. I've read many reviews of his books and tapes, some negative. I can't disagree more. He doesn't beat around the bush with the ideas and techniques, he cuts right to the chase, the only thing he doesn't do, is do it for you. I know how difficult that inertia can be to overcome, but he is just so positive and energetic in his presentation that you begin to feel positve and energetic yourself. Some of the techniques he employs seem hokey, like the one where you incorporate the affirmations, but that is far from the truth. That is self-parenting, something we all do, but most often in a negative way, and if you've listened to alot of rock music like I have, god only knows what your telling yourself. Tracy brings this into conscious awareness and coaches you to change those negatives into positives. It isn't going to happen magically or overnight mind you.

I'm not in business but I am trying to make some changes in my personal life. I acquired a cassette tape of Psychology of Achievement about 6 months ago and I was hooked on the ideas immediately. I couldn't believe how much better I began to feel after just listening to this tape a few times. After several months I was so excited about it that I decided to give the tape to my sister and purchase another copy for myself. Well it was another month before I actually got it and during that month I found myself needing to listen to it many times. I can't think of anything I'd rather be addicted to that Psychology of Achievement. And since this had such an impact I purchased Eat That Frog and Goals, How to Get Everything You Want. Eat That Frog is excellent. Since I just got Goals today I can't really say much but after persuing the book for a few minutes I'm sure it is going to be very helpful.

Tracy has produced a significant number of tapes/cds and books. I just can't say enough positive things about the work Tracy has done here and is putting forth to the world. My biggest beef about them all is not knowing which ones to get and listen to or read first and after reading some of the reviews it was apparent that some were sort of redundant, but the three I now own are not redundant at all.

If you are comtemplating getting any of these I'd definitely say "Go For It!

And many thanks to you Mr. Tracy.

5.0 out of 5 stars I have listened to this CD a few dozen times - The Very Best in Self Help!, August 3, 2006

This review is from: The Psychology of Achievement: Develop the Top Achiever's Mindset (Audio CD)
This CD is very powerful. I typically read a book or listen to a tape looking for one or two great ideas. This CD has more than I can count and every time I listen to it I pick up on something new that is useful. To become successful and self actualized you must know how to achieve these things. This is a great guide that will help you unlock your full potential.

As a note, this CD doesn't delve into spirituality and the power of God. If you are a spiritual person a good compliment to this book is 7 Steps to Living Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Changing- On many levels, October 23, 2005

I am a positive person by nature, and read many motivational books, so when my friend offered me her tapes to listen to, I passed. Then I had some family problems and she suggested him again, since he discusses many family based issues. These tapes have inspired me and really sunk in with me. I have retained much more of what he said then I usually do with self help type items.
He talks alot about our childhood and what formed us. He talks about good parenting skills, self esteem, feeling loved and links it to the achievement side of us. It is fascinating and profound. I have heard much of this scattered about over the years, but he lays it out and links up thoughts and patterns that open up your mind to identify things in your life.
My Dad is in his 60's and listening to these tapes and getting so much out of them. I highly recommend this tape/cd set. This is excellent for listening to as you drive
I'm buying my own copies to lend out and have for myself. Exceptional set of information!

3.0 out of 5 stars Brian Tracy's Ultimate Goals Program is much better, October 17, 2007
This review is from: The Psychology of Achievement: Develop the Top Achiever's Mindset (Audio CD)
It's hard to fault this product too much, as it does offers extremely good advice, but I if I had heard it before Brian's Ultimate Goals Program I might have overlooked an extremely important and mature mentor.

The contrast was so striking between the two programs that I got the distinct impression that Brian himself had changed a great deal in the intervening years. By the time of the Ultimate Goals Program, for instance, his voice takes on a very different lilt -- a much kindlier one -- and the character of his advice changes accordingly. What is introduced here in the form of a Bandleresque psychology of minimizing negative emotions at all costs becomes a much more refined, elegantly systemized and completely results-oriented approach later on, with the psychologizing distilled to only the truly relevant bits.

If you are new to Brian Tracy's audiobooks and would only like to buy one of them, get The Ultimate Goals Program. I can't recommend it more highly.

This is a great program. Pop it in your cd player while you're driving and soak up energetic valuable information instead of listening to repetitive music on the radio.

I love Brian's voice and energy. I feel like this cd has really empowered me to continually look at myself and push my limits.

Check this cd out if you want a boost in your life; it could be exactly what you need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Awesome and Critical Information, January 19, 2011
This review is from: The Psychology of Achievement: Develop the Top Achiever's Mindset (Audio CD)
This is not just "feel good" audio book. I has a lot of concrete and critical information everyone should know to live effectively and happily. I just kept saying "wow" over and over as I listened to this book the first time. I must have heard it 20 times by now. I started listen to his other works, but this has got to be the best.
