I thought this book was well written in a way that anyone could understand, but also challenged students to think critically and to not accept everything at face value, but to investigate and make their own opinions.

Exactly what I needed, condition as specified. Buying used saved me lots of money :) Arrived in a timely manor.

For a textbook this one is actually not to bad. Unlike most texts the wording is not completely dry and the book is structured in a way that appeals to a variety of learning styles. I would recomend it to anyone that is looking to learn more about psychology.

I am a psychology professor and this is one of the books I reviewed. It is inaccurate in a number of places and fuzzy in others. The standard is not up to a college textbook. To me, this represents dumbing down psychology.

Exactly worth the price that it was bought. Material was great. the book was well entact and readable. I recommend to buy books from this buyer!

This edition is essentially the exact same as the ninth edition (substituted with no problems in my psych class). Save yourself $100 by buying this edition instead. This book is informative, engaging, and relevant to bettering yourself through awareness of how you function. It is a little repetitive, but that did help later recollection. It is an easier read than most text books. I would recommend it to anyone with any interest in the area.

I bought this one for my college-bound daughter to give her a head-start on what she will find in just a few months on the college campus. While reviewing, I found myself reading whole chapters, and then we would discuss everything from research methods to perception and motivation, and of course, the science and definition of psychology. This is a good one - I just hope her assigned text is as good as this textbook, and if not, she now has a wonderful additional research resource. The book came quickly and in good shape. Mahalo...

I compared this textbook to what the rest of the class had, which is the edition stated on the sylabus. Even though this book is an older edition of what I was supposed to have for class, I found it to be very accurate. The only real difference was older diagrams, which still basically showed the same thing, and obviously the pages were off. The important thing was that the material was exactly the same.

I receieved my book within days after ordering it. I was highly impressed by the condition it was in. I didnt think it would be in such great condidion for such a low price. It looks barely used. Im very happy with my purchase.
