this book was very straight forward. it was clear and easy for students to grasp. As a professor, I was shocked at the rate my students were reading the material. I am very pleased by the book's explanation of key issues in modern psychology. It should be part of every professor's book collection and for pure enjoyment.

I found this text to be a very interactive one, keeping students attention by involving them in the learning process. While it may be simplified in some areas, it is a first year text and does cover the topics clearly and coherently.
As far as first year texts go, I found this to be a useful and interesting one.

This book provides basic insights into psychology and the way people behave. I purchased it for my Psych 101 class and it is exactly what the professor talks about in lecture.

Really good, even though i dropped out of the class (it was the " Freudian psychoanalysis" that killed it for me). Text books are Hilariously over priced nowadays no matter what subject, and this book, which i purchased for 15 bucks was a great relief. who cares if the book isn't the most current edition. it's not like you actually use the entire book from cover to cover, your professor is the one that picks out the parts you need to study, and he or she doesn't want to do that much work anymore than you do. most of the lesson is probably taught on a powerpoint, am i right?
so besides a few faded pages this book delivers the goods. When your done with it, sell it for 10 bucks more than you paid for it, thats a freebie for ya!
