Drs. Livneh and Antonak did an incredibly thorough job of reviewing the relevant research on adaptation to disability. While this book is over a decade old, its theoretical model still is useful and important as a framework for empirical research. It also saves researchers the work of going back into decades of research studies on the topic. This book definitely helped to advance the field of rehabilitation/disability research.
