Very useful for psychologists.,
This review is from: Psychotherapist'S Guide To Psychopharmacology: Second Edition (Hardcover)
This is an excellent book, written by an expert who clearly has worked in the trenches. Loads of clinical wisdom right on the money. Essential for psychologists, whether seeking prescription privileges or not.

I'm a clinical psychologist. You need to have this book . You need to understand the psychopharmacology of your patients. Lots of interesting and important information regarding Dx and the effects of Rx. The only problem with this book is (as you know) things are changing so fast that we need a new edition.

This is an absolutely fantastic reference book! Learn everything the doctors don't tell you, including relevant physiology and brain chemistry, differential diagnosis, contraindications and side effects. Read this book and talk to the doctors almost at their own level. I am a layperson who bought this book while a close relative was being assessed and treated for schizophrenia. NOTE: The soft cover edition for sale here is an earlier edition - make sure to buy the latest!
