5.0 out of 5 stars Apply methods for psychotic patients to less disturbed, April 6, 2010
This review is from: The Psychotic: Aspects of the Personality (Paperback)
Part one, theory and treatment, includes rich clinical material that illustrates his technical approach. Includes trauma survivors, life-saving surgery survivors, countertransference issues and supportive measures. Part two describes concept of primitive psychotic body image (PPBI) and shows research and cases that show its effectiveness in somatic delusion and drug-addiction. Reviewer Dr Otto Kernberg writes of his respect for Rosenfeld's open attitude toward unresolved questions about psychosis, different types of psychopathology that appear during analysis. This book, therefore, is useful to the practitioner as well as to the researcher and theoretician.
