5.0 out of 5 stars Available in a combined volume, December 9, 2005
This review is from: The Psychozone: Kidzilla and Other Tales (Mass Market Paperback)
Please note that the stories in Kidzilla and Other Tales and in The Witch's Monkey and Other Tales have been combined into In the Land of the Lawn Weenies. As the author, I would hate to think that someone might unknowingly or accidentally buy the stories twice. (But I'm happy that so many people have bought them at least once.)

P.S. I feel funny rating my book, but the software won't let me post this without a rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterful, June 23, 2000
This review is from: The Psychozone: Kidzilla and Other Tales (Mass Market Paperback)
Psychozone is a masterful work of shorts by David Lubar. He has a unique ability to captivate you with some spine tingling/thought provoking and tense stuff, but at the same time he doesn't get gory. Then...BAM..he "O Henry's" you! There is one short in this book that will wow any reader..it's about a tiny fairy....read it...buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Kidzilla &Other Tales, July 3, 2010
This review is from: The Psychozone: Kidzilla and Other Tales (Mass Market Paperback)
I've had this book since I was about 6 or 7 years old, I don't remember how I ended up with it, but I've loved it ever since. It was the first book with scary stories in it, and for the years that the book was lost in the bowels of my house, I still remembered the Fairy in a Jar and Sand Sharks stories. They were great, creepy and funny short stories that I've enjoyed at all ages.

Recently I found it and brought it to work with me to read to the 6 an 7 year olds that I do summer camp with. Whenever we have down time, or when some kids have to wait turns, they beg me to pull it out and read the stories. I've read Kidzilla at least 5 times. They love it.

I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes witty, creepy stories written in a way that children and adults would love.
