5.0 out of 5 stars Who run this??? KINGSPADE, April 29, 2007

There really isn't a whole lot I can say about P.T.B. except for the fact it is an amazing rap album. D-Loc and Johnny Richter really have done it this time, and in my humble oppinion have surpassed the greatness of their self titled album in 04.

So if you are considering getting this album, the only advice i can give you (other than of course buying and playing it loud all the time) would be to play the whole album all the way through the first time, including the intro. It is clear that the flow of the album is pin point perfect, while each song just floooows into the next and surprises you more with each song.

On the album you got your songs you are meant to just play loud and rattle your whole car, these songs would include the lead single "Who run this?", "We Ridin", and "Bring the Crowd". All excellent cuts. Loc and Richter also put a few more "personal" tracks on the album. "Takin it Back" is basically a song telling the world that Subnoize records is the greatest lable in music right now. "Lookin Up" featuring subnoize's Big B talks about being at the bottom of everything sucks. "Follow the Leader" could be the deepest of the album, talking about the war...trust me it's not your normal American Idiot anthem, Leader is actually a great song that gives a fair appraisal of the war. "That's how it Goes" off of KMK's Hidden Stash 3 is also another personal song, and in my oppinion, probably the best all around song on the album.

Johnny Richter is really the one that does hold the album together. D-Loc is definatly a waaay above average rapper, but through the years he has just lost his whole essence. But J Rich is silky smooth on every verse of every song, and right now in this horrible stage of hip hop, he could have one of the best flows out there.

All I am saying folks is BUY THIS ALBUM. If you are a fan of the Kottonmouth Kings, this one is a no brainer. And for those of you unfamiliar with Kingspade or KMK, don't let the fact that these guys are white fool you, they spit better than any mainstream rapper out there right now, and the beats are AMAZING. Best rap album of the year, hands down.

Kingspade, D-Loc and Richter of the Kottonmouth Kings on there solo project. You can't beat that. Unlike the usual sound that you would hear from Kottonmouth Kings, Kingspade is more rap with a familiar KMK mindframe of beats and loops, basically combining the formula of the KMK with the mainstream rap beats and loops that producers like Lil John, Kanye West, and others are responsible for. With those 2 genres emerged together, you got Kingspade. This is better than the crap on MTV, this is better than listening to the radio. This is Suburban Noise Records at its finest. For people interested in this album, I promise you will not be dissopointed. 5 stars, definently.

5.0 out of 5 stars ON THE HIP LIKE A SIDEKICK, June 5, 2007

Alright i have to say that this is the sickest sub noize album to drop in a long time. We ridin is my fav track at the moment, and most of the others are amazing. Looking up from the bottom imo is not really a very good song, and neither is the one about the war or brother brother. Otherwise, the rest of the tracks are incredible. My only complaint is that the CD is not longer.

Also as a side comment (which has no bearing on my rating) is that Johnny Richter holds it down HARD on this cd. He really is a lyrical genious and just has great rhythm. LOC on the other hand is kind of losing his lyrical talent and continuing the downward trend on rhythm as well---
"On the hip like a sidekick, hit me dawg i'll hit you back"
"We got it in a bundle...(or a bag) we got that that u wish you had"

don't get me wrong... LOC has his baller lines as well, but simply can't hold his weight compared to J. Rich

i donno, just my observations....

BOTTOM LINE

buy this CD and support Suburban noize records ... its hard

I am a huge fan of Kottonmouth Kings and Kingspade and all I can say about this CD is BUY IT NOW!
Track #6 "We Ridin" is worth the price of the CD by itself.
There are a lot of good songs on this cd, some are not as good as the others, but its all worth listening to and is definately worth the price of the cd. In my opinion track #6 is Kingspade's best song.
Buy this CD! Its the best investment you will make this year.
