If your instructor is relying on this text for the bulk of their course and expects you to know it really well it is stupidly difficult to get through. The index is negligible at best and there are no key words or terms highlighted throughout. If your instructor is relying on this text for the bulk of their course and expects you to know it really well it is stupidly difficult to get through. The index is negligible at best and there are no key words or terms highlighted throughout. As this is meant for introductory courses, most of the time teachers will rely on terms etc as they grade your assignments. It is an okay text and does have a lot of useful information, but ultimately I came to loath it because as a study help it is rather useless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Noice, September 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Public Relations: Strategies and Tactics (9th Edition) (Hardcover)
This book came in great condition even though it was used. I've had no problems using it for my PR class. None of the pages have any writing on them, so I'm very happy with this purchase. Way cheaper than buying it at the bookstore.

This book is an older edition but is still current. For the price it was worth it for my summer class.

2.0 out of 5 stars Amazon: Public Relations: Strategies and Tactics (9th Edition), July 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Public Relations: Strategies and Tactics (9th Edition) (Hardcover)
This book did not go into public relations in detail enough for the entertainment field as the cover of the book leads you to believe. The description of the book did not indicate that this was a watered down version of Public Relations topics and no true strategies for the case studies. The entertainment field was covered without siting enough examples. The rest of the book appeared to be a very simplistic or freshmen level introduction to the topic that would also need to be taught by an experienced public relations professional or expert to give this book some life. The book only is not enough to fully understand and bring to life the public relations field for a graduate student. I bought it for $5, it is worth that amount, and it was enough to satisfy my basic curiosity on the subject.

1.0 out of 5 stars Incorrect delivery!, July 9, 2011

I didn't receive the right book! The book I was sent wasn't even close. It was a completley different subject matter. I ended up buying the book from the univeristy bookstore for over $100! I was a week behind in my course as a result. Thankfully my instructor was understanding, and alot of hard work enabled me to catch up.

This product came in excellent condition. The text is very well written and in an interesting format. The questions at the end of each chapter are great and in cronological order with the chapter for ease of learning.
I would reccomend this text to any student of public relations!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not really new, September 25, 2008
This review is from: Public Relations: Strategies and Tactics (9th Edition) (Hardcover)
Though I received the book in the alotted time, the corners were bent and there was a HUGE scratch on the front cover. It looked like a utility knife went to it. I was disappointed that I thought I was getting a new book, but it was not the case.

1.0 out of 5 stars Never received it!, September 28, 2008
This review is from: Public Relations: Strategies and Tactics (9th Edition) (Hardcover)
I never received this product. I contacted the seller and she said that she emailed me and Amazon explaining that her car was burglarized and her textbooks were stolen. She canceled the order but the money was still taking out of my account. I contacted Amazon last week and I'm waiting to hear back!
