As a college instructor of oral communication for ten years, I complained bitterly about the poor selection of books for beginning students--until now. This is the single best book of its kind on the market, bar none. In all my years, I've never had students brag on a book like this one: easy to read, well-organized, thoughtful, practical, visually attractive, and substantive. My best compliment is that I can teach three times the material in half the time just by using this text--and people understand it! I can't brag enough on the author's work. This is phenomenal. ANYONE who wants to master the basics of public speaking should read this cover to cover. The principles and techniques Mr. Gregory describes are effective, powerful, and described in a simple way. BRAVO! I'll recommend this to everyone.

I was extremely pleased of the FAST delivery and the quick replies from the seller with my questions. This seller definitely deserves a five star review. I would highly recommend buying from this seller. The book came in great condition. Better than I thought considering that it was used. :)

I trully enjoyed this book, even though I am not a fan of text books. It has helped me develop stronger speaking skills, and I am not very good at public speaking. It's not a how to book, its simply a guide which offers tips and ideas on how you should present various topics.

Just as expected, thanks! My son needed this book for his college class. Purchasing the college books on Amazon is much less expensive than purchasing a the college book store.

Buying the book from Amazon was cheaper and faster instead of buying the book from my campus's bookstore.(I saved $40, and the book shipped to my house in one day.) However, the quality of the text made the entire summer course unbearably boring. The information given in the text can be shortened into outlines without the unnecessary examples and images that add 'fluff' to the basic material.

The only positive out of ordering this book was the ability to Trade-In the book for a savings of about $16 and three hours of credit to boost my GPA.

Am grateful. the book arrived on time. its a used book but looks brand new as they promised. Am overly satisfied.

My title says it all...great textbook to keep and use as a public speaking/speech preparing reference tool. Although comprehensive in scope of material, the text was easy to read and understand.

Very pleased with the purchase and the timely manner in which I received my book - I was given a date in October and must say I was pleasantly surprised to received this in five days versus the projected (14) days and I did not pay for expedited shipping. I'm a student at a local college here in Jersey City. I found this book very easy to read but doesn't defeat the purpose to inform. I really wish I can have him as my teacher.
