Great lyrics, music and performance. Even though I first heard some of the tunes on the satellite bluegrass channel, the album is really more in the classic country style. This is the kind of country music I grew up on and seems to be all but gone since the tragic murder on music row. I am a bluegrass picker as well and love to hear fresh material. Heck of a job on this one Larry.

Larry Cordle hit a home run on this CD. I always knew that Larry was a great storyteller, but for the 1st time I have come to appreciate his vocal gift as well. Larry is a great singer and he's chasing down Tim OBrien as my favorite. Really listen to these songs and you'll see what I mean. Larry's also got top notch musicians on this as well. Although I'm a pretty hard-core bluegrass listener/picker, which this is not, it's takes something pretty special to pull me out of that genre. It's all acoustic with the exception of a pedal steel on a few cuts, with mostly a pure clean sound with traditional acoustic instuments. I can't name any songs in particular because I like them ALL! I've listened to this CD countless times, and it still gets better & better. I'm sure you will enjoy it as well. Thanks for such a great album, Larry!
