Afro-Cuban Music and Salsa,
By Lambros Fatsis (Greece) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pueblo Alegre (Audio CD)
A multinational "latin" music group experts in afrocuban style of music, son and salsa. Mo'Guahiro is one of the most dynamic, music groups of the century, appearred the last years from the multicultural artistic environment of New York. Consisted of new members from Puerto Rico, Columbia, Venezuela, Argentina, Aiowa and Ukraine, Mo'Guahiro decided to remain faithful to the original cuban music- drawing 'fuels' from the tradition of son (born in the mountains of Sierra Maestra in Cuba by the guerrillas os Che Guevara and Fidel Castro) and developping its modern aspect salsa. Thus, this team of brilliant and talented musicians produce a music-cuban cocktail containing some shots from swinging jazz- as it is fitting to a music band which moves in the rythm of a city such as New York. To sum up, Mo'Guahiro fresh in the music scene and in the latin discography, play with passion traditional cuban music and shape the new dimensions of the latin-soul of our century.
