Grade 4-7-With clear photos and reproductions of paintings, this book introduces the Pueblo people, and sidebars highlight important individuals. Four Web sites are listed, including one for the Hopi Nation and another for the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. No information about the author is given, so readers cannot determine her authority. In addition, no listing of the individual pueblos (such as Pueblo of Laguna, Pueblo of Santa Clara, etc.) is provided. Flaws aside, the fact that about one-third of the book describes life today rather than focusing on history makes this title worth considering.
