4.0 out of 5 stars Better Puerto Rico map choice
I visited Puerto Rico in 2004 and had the Rand McNally EasyFinder map. I would recommend this map over the Rand McNally map for several reasons: This map has a less cluttered, easier to read look. More features of the roads are displayed in this map, exit numbers, for example. This map appears to be more up to date. An expressway, route 53, between Fajardo and...

3.0 out of 5 stars A map is a map is a map
I just received my map, today. It's a map! Nothing more, nothing less. I don't know why I had to pay $4.00 for shipping. It came in a box delivered by the USPS. They could have put it in an envelope and it would have been much cheaper.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better Puerto Rico map choice, February 3, 2007
This review is from: Puerto Rico Road Map 2007 / Mapa de Carreteras de Puerto Rico 2007 (English and Spanish Edition) (Map)
An expressway, route 53, between Fajardo and Salinas appears on this map, but not on my version of the Rand McNally map. There is an excellent city map of San Juan and there are also maps of 8 other cities. Puerto Rico is displayed on one panel, the Rand McNally map cuts the island in half with one half on each side of the map. At least one city is misspelled on the Rand McNally map. Vega Baja appears as "Vena Baja". The only thing the Rand McNally map has over this map is a plastic coating. Both maps are biligual.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is the map to get, March 31, 2007

This map is better than the Rand McNally but not perfect. Expect to get lost a little and to speak some Spanish and to eat some mofongo. It's fun! Spent a week driving around in March 07.

We spent 3 days in Puerto Rico driving around the island. This map is easy to use and we had no problems at all.

I'm very glad I bought this before my trip. The map that the rental car company gave us was horrible. This was much more detailed and had magnified views for the major cities. You really need to get this if you plan on driving because you won't find a better map once you get there.

The only problem I experienced was when visiting El Yunque. The map shows several roads in that area that don't really exist or go as far as the map says they do.

5.0 out of 5 stars comprehensive, easy to read map, June 2, 2009

I bought this map prior to my first trip to Puerto Rico. I highlighted various destinations, and carried it with me everywhere. It was extremely helpful. My friend bought two other maps of Puerto Rico, got lost every day, and still could not find several places on his maps where we were supposed to meet. Of course, no map in the world will help when there's no signs to let you know what road you're travelling on. And I found that, frequently, the signs with the exit numbers didn't appear until just after I passed the exit. Go figure.
