About the Author
A pre-school teacher who is dedicated to educating young people, Darice Bailer also has a strong commitment to wildlife and the environment. She combines these two interests in Puffin's Homecoming. Although this is her first children's book, Ms. Bailer has for some year provided sports and feature stories for the Richmond Times-Dispatch and the Greenwich Time. She and her husband are raising a daughter and twin sons in Wilton, Connecticut.

Teaches children about the environment and our wildlife heritage and excites children about wildlife. From the Smithsonian Wild Heritage Collection. My grandchildren had never heard of Puffin's before getting this book - they love it.
