This new edition is as cute as can be...that said, after reading the previous review, I looked over the book again, and I could not find any "profanity"...perhaps the reviewer is not aware that in dog circles a female dog is indeed called a bitch...this is the only thing I could find that may have offended the reviewer. This book is clever, cute, enjoyable for any Pug lover, and once again, obviously produced by a man who loves his dogs.

PUGNATION is a MUST HAVE for pug owners and animal lovers alike. Jim Dratfield has an extraordinary gift as a photographer and respects the art of rhetoric. He is extremely clever and creative. After buying 20 copies of PUG SHOTS, I had to get all of his books--canine, feline, and equine. He stands alone in the class of petographers, for Dratfield captures the very essence of these little pugs, and the words he creates that accompany each photograph are brilliantly satiric. PUGNATION is a work of art; therefore, this book deserves only one number--INFINITY! BRAVO! Pat Liotta Jupiter, FL

My girlfriend loves Pugnation! It is an amazing book that she will probably be reading for years to come! Highly recommend!

The book arrived on time and in perfect condition and in time for Christmas last year. It's very cute and clever. Excellent photography. A wonderful gift for any pug lover.

Perhaps my expectations were too high. I found the black and white images of the same pug over and over repetitive. I looked at the cover and judged the rest of the book by it. I expected humorous pug shots, not shots of pugs in different costumes.

Thankfully I purchased a used copy of this book, so I haven't wasted much money. Just wish the book had been better.

Well, the first thing I noticed was the cover was attached upside down and backwards. Very odd. It was a cute book, but had photos that had previously been published. There's profanity, too. I didn't mind it, but it might offend some people, especially if they aren't expecting it or have that kind of sense of humor. Overall, disappointing.
