Michael Dahl is the author of more than 100 books for children and young adults. He has twice won the AEP Distinguished Achievement Award for his nonfiction. He has also edited and written numerous graphic novels for younger readers. Dahl has spoken at schools, libraries, conferences, and bookstores across the U.S. Dahl currently lives in a haunted house in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I bought this book to go with the KNex set on pulleys and levers. It's very short, flat, and dull coloured. Lame is my word for it. However, my son LOVED it. Go figure. But for his enthusiasm, I'd give it only 1 or 2 stars. He didn't love it, say like the Diary books, or Bad Kitty... but when I suggested giving away or donating it to the library, he had a bit of a hissy fit. We're keeping it and since it fits on the bookshelf, (it's REALLY thin) all is well.
