Serge Gainsbourg's songs sung by Isabelle Adjani,
By A Customer
This review is from: Pull Marine (Audio CD)
Isabelle Adjani is mostly known as an actress and this is probably her only album. The music is written by the great Serge Gainsbourg. He has written almost any kind of music, and this time he wrote melodic pop with some ABBA influences. Surprisingly not all the lyrics are by Gainsbourg, some have been written in collaboration with Adjani. Adjani even wrote one lyric (Et moi chou chou) without Gainsbourg but it's clearly influenced by Gainsbourg's writing. The songs are good though maybe not Gainsbourg at his best. If you like this album, try listening to Baby Alone in Babylone by Jane Birkin, also written by Serge Gainsbourg and released the same year.

Stellar surprise!,

I was so surprised to come across this CD by France's adorable Adjani. She matches her acting prowess with her seductive singing. Highly recommended.

I wanted to like this album, but I don't. I absolutely hate it. Her voice is shaking like she's scared and all the melodies sounds extremely cheesy.
