Pull-Ups: Your Partner in Potty Training Success

When it comes to potty training, you and your child are a team. Pull-Ups is there to help make potty training a victory for both of you and add a splash of fun while you're at it. Whether your child is just starting out, has hit a setback, or is sailing through the process, Pull-Ups offers a range of customized solutions (and Disney pals!) for all children.

Ready, Set, Potty Train: Knowing the Signs of Readiness

Not sure if your son is ready for Pull-Ups Learning Designs? Every child learns at his own pace, but most experts agree that if your son is showing two of the following three signs of readiness, it's time to make the shift from diapers to Pull-Ups:

1. She can stay dry for more than two hours or is dry after a nap
2. She is uncomfortable with wet, soiled diapers and wants them changed immediately
3. She can indicate either verbally or nonverbally that she has to go

Exclusive Disney Graphics that Fade When Wet

Grab your child's interest with colorful Disney characters, exclusive to Pull-Ups. Cool characters like Lightning McQueen put a friendly, familiar face on the learning process to make potty training less intimidating and more like a fun activity that you can achieve together.

And by fading when the training pants are wet, the graphics become a visual aid to help encourage kids to stay dry.

Easy-Open Sides and Underwear-Like Feel

Unlike bulky diapers, Pull Ups Learning Designs look and feel like real underwear, with a flexible waistband and unique, stretchy sides that open easily, so parents can make quick potty checks.

For maximum absorbency and leak protection, Pull-Ups Learning Designs are specially designed for boys with extra coverage in areas where they need it most.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for daytime, leaks overnight November 16, 2011
By busymom
Unit Count:112|Size Name:2T-3T
I have been using these with my son for a few weeks and find them helpful but not great. We have always potty trained with underwear and done great. My 4th child, well he's the one who broke the mold! We weren't doing so well so I, for the first time, decided to try pull ups. I bought 3T/4T which says for 33-40 pounds. My son is 35 pounds and they are a bit small so maybe size up.

Pros:
He likes them because they look like underwear and isn't so bothered by being put back in "diapers"
They don't come apart when he pulls them up.
Cute design
He likes the picture that fades when wet. I'm not sure if he likes to see it go away so he pees on them or if he likes to keep the picture in tact.

Cons:
Leave a lot of the gel stuff on him when they are wet and he's in them for any amount of time. The chemicals in that stuff are a concern for me.
Leak overnight even with just a bit of pee in them.
Leave marks on his skin around the legs
run small.

I'm going to try a size up to see if that resolves the chaffing problem and the overnight leaking. I'll update after. I'm also going to try some Easy UPs to see if there is a difference. I'm hoping to only use any of them for another month or two.

Good luck in the PT process!

5.0 out of 5 stars Velcro tabs earned my business March 13, 2012
Unit Count:168| Size Name:4T-5T|Amazon Verified Purchase
I wasn't a Huggies fan the first 2 years using diapers. I used Pampers. They worked better for my son. Huggies always leaked. Now we're in the training phases and I wasn't sure which sizes/brands to buy. Didn't even know where to start. So I started with other reviews of parents. Huggies have velcro tabs. Pampers don't. So you're in a public restroom. Kid's too big to put on a changing table. You have to get the diaper off. What do you do? Take off their shoes and pants just to get their diaper off? Didn't sound very practical to me. I have to say I never tried Pampers pull ups, but Huggies have worked great for us. BC you can keep those pants and shoes on, in a public restroom. It's just like changing a diaper standing up (which, I never thought I'd be able to do that either, but I've learned!!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Very absorbent- but not necessarily a good thing... February 15, 2012
Unit Count:100| Size Name:3T-4T|Amazon Verified Purchase
I would actually give these 3.5 stars, if that was an option.

These pull-ups are almost as absorbant as the baby-dry diapers that I just stopped using when my son started potty training; it's a good thing in that I don't have to keep changing his clothes during the day. Unfortunately because he doesn't feel wet or uncomfortable, he has no incentive to use the toilet and keep his pants dry.

Also, the "learning designs" on the pull-up are somewhat useless. There's a light blue design that is supposed to fade when the pull-up gets wet, but it takes a little while to fade so you can't catch your child going and escort them to the bathroom. You also can't see the design if your child is wearing pants, and even if they're sitting around in just a pull-up, it's more of an indicator for the parent that your child needs a change (which Icahn tell without an indicator) than a notice for your child that they've had an accident.

Another thing to consider is that these seem to run a little small. I had read this in another review, so I purchased one size larger and was glad I did; my son is only 28.5 lbs, but he fits in the 3T-4T size.

In conclussion, if you have a child that has a desire to use the toilet on their own, these pull-ups may work for you. If you have a stubborn child like my son who feels more comfortable using a diaper rather than learning to use the toilet, you might want to consider cloth.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not Fade
We were under the impression from the product description that the cars graphic on the front of the diaper fades when the diaper is wet and is therefore a valuable training tool. Read more
