This is my 4th Kinetic watch the other 3 being Seiko. I am pleased with it and would have given it 5 stars but for a couple of issues. One is it is quite large and heavy, it also does not have a saphire crystal, and it turns a very dark brown color and does not stay truly black. One major plus is that it is very easy to read the dial which I can not say about my 2 Seikos with white dials and gold everything else. My 1st Seiko which is over 10 years old and is gold on gold still works and is the lightests and smallest of all but does not hold a charge more then a week. Overall I am pleased with this purchase.

I got this watch for my Anniversary. After 4 months the second hand (the red hand) started counting of in 2 second increments and the watch was no longer accurate. I had the cell replaced but this did not fix the problem. The store where it was purchase happily replaced the watch on the spot (for the exact same model)and they even sized it for me again at no charge. I never thought to check that the new replacement watch was working correctly, and as I was wearing it home I noticed that this brand new watch was malfunctioning in the same exact way as my original watch!

I returned it again and the specialist said that she was going to pull all of her Kinetic Pulsars out of the case and have them checked out. She seemed to think this had to be a defect in the product itself. Perhaps this was just a bad lot of watches they received, I don't want to alarm everyone. This is a pretty expensive medium range watch so I expected a lifetime of use from it. Unfortunately, because of my experience, I will probably be avoiding Pulsar watches from now on.

****UPDATE***

After just under 2 months of owning this watch, I have gone thru 2 watches due to defects and am about to give up on it.

The first one ended up with condensation under the crystal. I got a replacement from the store I bought it from with no problem. However the 2nd one was ticking two times ever two seconds, however it kept time correctly so I let it go. Then all of a sudden it started ticking correctly so I was happy.

However last night the condensation under the crystal returned to this new watch. I have had it at this point, and will be moving to a Seiko or Citizen brand watch.

Good luck to anyone else who gives this watch a try. I wanted to love it, but it just wasn't meant to be.

I have reduced my rating from a 4 to a 2 due to these issues. Kept one additional star because I still like the look, and the kinetic charging.

****UPDATE***

I find this watch to be of high quality, and nice build. I looks great with any clothing option, and seems to be accurate.

I love the kinetic function as I have had many watches that I have to constantly replace the batteries after less then a year (I must have bad luck)...

I will note that it does have a weight to it. Some people may find this as a con, but I rather enjoy it. I hate the idea of never being able to tell if my watch is still on my wrist or not.

I have noticed that it seems the band went from a solid black to a lighter black/brown color, in a very short period of time. This could be just my eyes though as others don't seem to notice this.

Otherwise so far this is a great quality product, and since I got it on sale it is even better.
