The good: Solid feel, comfortable band, luminous markers are very clear. One very handy thing is the alarm. It is very easy to set because it always "starts" from the current time. To set it, pull out the crown, hold the bottom button to make the alarm hands zip around, and let it up at the desired time. Push the crown back in and you're done. There is also a "hidden feature" that allows you to use this as a sort of accurate timer. Pull out the crown, push the bottom button once for each minute you want to time, and push the crown back in. Because the alarm trips as the minute changes the actual time till it goes off when set this way can be +/- 1 minute. If you push the button 10 times then the alarm will go off somewhere between 9 and 11 minutes. It's not perfect but still handy if it's all you have. The stop watch is, of course, more accurate but you have to remember to look at it.

The bad: Nothing really

The subjective: I found this watch to be a bit on the heavy side. If you like heavy watches then this is fine. It is also not really black... more of a bronze/grey kind of thing. I think that adds to the appearance but it should have been better described. The alarm is very soft. You cannot wake up to this and I don't think that was the design. You might consider this a feature; it can be heard in a quiet environment without disturbing others around you.

This is a great watch. Yes, the bracelet and case is not black like the face. Depending on the light, it can look anywhere from gunmetal to dark gray to dark brown. But it's classy and I think better than pure black. Also because it's ion plated and not painted, the coating is very durable and won't scratch or flake off. I have several other Seiko watches and this is in every way equal in quality. Seiko makes Pulsar but they didn't compromise on the materials or design on this model. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I purchased this watch as an alternative to the Citizen nighthawk. On the computer, they are similar although not identical. When I received the pulsar and opened the package, I thought I had received the wrong watch. The color is actually dark gray. Very sleek and impressive, great watch, but not black. Another reviewer made the same comment about the color but I did not take him seriously. Even though its not black, still a very nice watch.

The Pulsar PF3663 is a strong and accurate watch. Using it you can use the simple functions of a chronometer with date and an alarm with a too low sound. On the other hand this watch is perfect for daily and sport use,is strong despite is not a G-shock and the design is beautiful.More people complains about the color: "is not really black", for me is one of the goals of this model the changing of black-grey tones depending light reflection that gives to the watch body an anodized effect.In brief a great watch for the price, we should remember that is made under Seiko specifications one of the best and expensive Japanese brands.

Saw this advertised in Men's outdoor magazine. Further research revealed the MSRP is indeed 299,95. Amazon always finds the best discounts. The watch has a very satisfying weight and strength to it. It keeps very good time and will be one of my regular daily go-to's. I have over 20 wristwaches of all types and price ranges. This is one of my favorites for daily casual use. it's very rugged and masculine. A good buy.

I saw this watch online, on sale, and bought one, sight unseen. I usually don't like doing that with this type of product but in this case I was very pleased. The pictures don't really do the watch justice, it's much better looking that I thought it would be. The band is more of a matte finish, and not totally black, it's more dark grey. The waves on the face are not as prominent as in the photo. The weight is solid but not overly bulky or uncomfortable. It is a bit complicated to operate though, so don't lose the manual, like I did!

Saw this watch in a magazine ad last year, was very happy and surprised to see it on Amazon at such a great price. I think the watch is a great alternative from the same old silver and gold watches. It also represents a great blend of sport and dress. I am very happy with the watch and would recommend the watch as well as the retailer that sold it.

I bought this almost a year ago and still it looks good. A bit too heavy, but it was expected (metal). It is not black, but looks great. Alarm is not what I expected.

This bad boy definitely carries some mass. However, allow me to re-iterate what previous reviewers have stated: it is NOT black. It is more like a deep, gun-metal grey... and I actually like that quite a bit. I wanted a solid chronograph watch that wouldn't break the bank, and in the Pulsar PF3663 Ion, I found it.

I've bought Pulsar watches for years now and depend on their Masculine Design and Reliable Craftmanship.
This time I only wanted an Analog Watch and I could not ask for a better Watch like this one. It fits
nicely on my wrist after easily removing a few links and performs excellently without any tuning hassles.
