Stylish, sharp looking, comfortable, not heavy, January 21, 2006
This review is from: Pulsar Men's PG8045X Watch (Watch)
Just got it today from amazon, very nice watch very sharp looking. Black dial makes the look of it. I have simular watch with silver/while dial from Missimo. I needed another one to go with my black suites and to wear to work, that is not bulky or heavy. Overall very pleased with the purchase. One thing though, it was very important that bracelet is a Fold Over Clasp type. You can not tell from the photo and pulsar's website does not mention the bracelet type either, but it is. So for those who want nice watch with Fold Over Clasp bracelet and does not want to spend a lot i would definitely recomend checking this out. Hope this helps.

Great value, March 16, 2007
This review is from: Pulsar Men's PG8045X Watch (Watch)
This watch looks and feels great on me. Yes, I had to take out about 6 links to get a good fit, but that was fairly easy and only took 5 minutes (which included figuring out how to do it, which I'll explain at the end).
The clasp locks well - firm, but not difficult to lock/unlock, and is very secure. I was a little suprised with how lightweight the links/band is. That's the only part of the watch that feels a little cheap. Don't get me wrong, it's well constructed, but it's not like a Big Manly Steel Band. At the end of the day, I found that I loved it because it ISN'T heavy.
I didn't give it a full 5 stars because after having it a few weeks there's a teeny tiny scratch that developed on the face/crystal. I'm really cautious and have been gentle with it, so I'm rather disappointed this happened. (And it very possibly might have been me knocking up against a brick wall or something). If you're especially rough on your things, this might not be the best watch for you.
Taking the links out is EASY if you're not completely inept. You'll want something small and sort-of pointy (I happened to have had a filed-down mini screwdriver, but a nail would probably work just as well). I found it easiest to first disconnect the standard clasp - just push the pin in (on either side) and wiggle the clasp apart. Make sure you don't drop/lose the pin.
For the links, it's fool-proof - it has an arrow engraved on the back of the links, showing you which side the pin/insert comes out. Stick the nail/whatever into the small oval hole and pry the pin out the side. Pull it out with a pair of pliers (it's in there pretty tight) and you can then remove the link.

Beautiful watch, November 4, 2007

For the price this is an attractive watch that looks more expensive than it is. Keeps perfect time.
