5.0 out of 5 stars Nice
I own a couple of tambourines, but have played a few. This one is light, bright and kinda cool looking. The inward placement of the handle allows it to be played windshield wiper style, with the wrist, or a combination of both allowing for great speed and variety. You can also get two different soundings hits whether you use the inner or the outer ring. Hit the inner ring...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great build and balance, cheapish jingles
The pros: Super-great price! Very well constructed! Excellent well-balanced design. Feels great in the hand. Lots of jingles.

The cons: The jingles don't sound that good to me. A slightly cheap, tinny sound. I'm sending it back and getting a Rhythm Tech with nickel jingles. I think that tone will suit me better.

It's not bad at all, really. And...

The inward placement of the handle allows it to be played windshield wiper style, with the wrist, or a combination of both allowing for great speed and variety. You can also get two different soundings hits whether you use the inner or the outer ring. Hit the inner ring for a more open sound and the outer for a more dry and close one. All in all a nice tambourine specially for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Buy, March 10, 2007

These tambourines are great for the basic use...very sturdy. You really can't argue with the price. I've seen some tambourines and the price tag on them and have to wonder where did the twenty dollars go?

If you simply want to enjoy the music, this is your best bet.

It's not bad at all, really. And it's so cheap, on second thought I might keep it around for the kids. Or lean it against the door like a burglar alarm. Like I say, it's got a lot going for it. It just doesn't sound that hip, the way a good tambourine should. I wouldn't shake this on a gig.

I got it to use in out praise band. It is much lighter than the wooden one that the church has. Sound carries very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars I gof this for my 3 year old but WOW... it's amazing! I want to record with it!, October 19, 2011

It really is an excellent tambourine. Very professional and surprised me as I've used ones much more expensive that weren't this nice. I have a home studio and I'd like to use it but my 3 year old daughter knows it's hers so every time I try, she claims rightful ownership. I suppose I'll have to order another.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect tambourine, March 23, 2011

This is a perfect shaped tambourine for comfort in holding. It also gives you greater control for playing softly, loudly, or very rapidly (like a rain stick sounds). Far superior to the old, round shape. Would recommend to anyone for their No. 1 tambourine!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lasts for years!, August 17, 2010

I have bought 3 of these over the past 10 years that I've been playing. (I still have one in reserve for a backup.) They are plastic with a rubber grip and sturdy! I know cause I am rough on mine! I use it heavily 3 times a week. The cymbals wore the pins down after about 5 years of use but let me tell ya, these tamborines are great!...you sure can't beat that price for about 5 years of heavy use!=-)

I'm having fun with it. I'm not a pro percussionist. This one seems of good quality and sound--good value!

Very pleased with the craftsmanship for the low price. It has a good sound and is easy to hold. I bought it to take to Drum Circle, so those who came to watch can be handed an instrument to participate if they wish.
