Ok, I haven't read it but I've met the author...,

This review is from: The Pulse of Praise: Form As a Second Self in the Poetry of George Herbert (Hardcover)
Dr.Guernsey was my first English proff in college and I took her for three semesters straight because I was so impressed with her brilliant, original concepts and deep yet not overly complex way of communicating them. Having said this, I tried to start reading this and it went way over my head(hey, I'm only a sophmore English major!) but its very smart and I would reccomend it for graduates and educated Herbert fans. When someone does read it, I'd love to read a review that summarizes it in under-graduate terms!!!!! Give it a try, stretch your mind - Dr.Guernsey is brilliant!
