About the Author

New York Times bestselling author, Deborah Bladon, has never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She's a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you can often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan is definitely her second home.

She cherishes her family and believes that each day is a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.

JAW DROPPING! Another good start to a new series from Deborah. She gets me every time on the twists and turns in the book. The chemistry between Jessica and Nathan is so overwhelmingly good. Just the scenes of them together I can imagine every one of it and cannot wait for what book 2 holds!

So, I highly recommend this book to read! You will not regret it, but maybe your panties will ;)

Love all of Deborah's stuff! She is in my top 3 authors list! Love how she writes and makes you feel the book rather than just giving you something to read. I love even though she writes different series they all tie in together so even though you finish a series you still get some interactions with that character through other stories! This one had a heck of a cliffy! Deborah is good for those! Pick this one up as well as the rest of her stuff! It is well worth it! Support your self published authors and get their books into as many hands as possible!

4 Steamy Stars

I usually don’t like reading books broken into parts, but I do pick them up from time to time. I usually wait to finish the series and then write a final review, however, I am not sure I will finish this series.

There’s nothing wrong with Pulse. It’s kinky, it’s a quick read, the characters are okay, but there’s something lacking with the main characters that I don’t see any connection.

I liked the storyline. Jessica is your typical gal, she’s fun, sexy and wants to have a one night stand for the first time. Nathan is sexy, successful man whore and wants Jessica. They start a no strings attach relationship.

Part one is just Jessica and Nathan hooking up. There’s some fun banter, there’s plenty of steamy scenes, but that’s kind of it. I wanted something deeper, but the book is only so long, so you get what you get for part 1.

The ending was great and there’s a huge cliffy, so be prepared to get book 2.

If your looking for an actual story then run away from this book. You get nothing here. It's all bland sex scenes, and a couple of sentences thrown in here and there. The only part of this very short story that made me say, ohhhhh, was the last page. If this book was to be printed it would probably be 20 pages. I will not be buying anymore from this series. Why do these authors feel the need to make 3 books out of what could be 1 long good book.

I read this on a recommendation from an author. I've been on a serial kick for a few weeks now and was excited to jump in.

1. I found the dialogue to be choppy and sometimes over the top.
2. I didn't really believe the chemistry completely.
3. Dude, really? You did that on the first time bringing her there?

Then the push/pull. I am a sucker for the angst building sexual tension but I found myself growing annoyed with the heroine as she continued her should I/shouldn't I? Then she would say she wouldn't but she'd wind up doing it anyway. Her maturity I found grating.

The intimate scenes were well written for the most part. I found myself skimming to get there mostly because being in her POV was driving me insane. There is no real reason for her reasoning. I didn't connect at that point. Of course I had to read the next because of the ending which is to be expected with a serial.

I have read all 3 parts that have so far been released, and I absolutely loved them! At .99 cents for every 85 pages this series is well worth it. The chemistry and sex scenes between Jessica and Nathan are off the charts, ( dirty talking, hot , alpha male!), but my favorite aspect of these books is that you never really know if Nathan is being sincere, because he's a player. Or is he? Every book takes you back and forth, and up and down in a roller coaster ride until you're right there with Jessica experiencing all of her emotions. I could not put my Kindle down, and every book has an ending that literally had me gasping or shrieking. Seriously! Buy this book! You will want to read all of them after reading the first one. There's a part 4 coming out in a week, and i don't know how I'm gonna wait.

Nathan is quite the hottie! Based on his behavior he should not have been judging Jax to Ivy in Obsessed.
Jessica meets Nathan in a club while looking for a one night stand. Their chemistry is hot and he wants to continue to see Jessica (one night a week). The problem is that he has a different girl for each night of the week and wants her to himself. What a cliffhanger...

Although the ending twist was really cool, there wasn't enough "meat" to the story. Not enough descriptive points. I wasn't able to picture the scenes in my head. :/
